Children inhabit a very different world from that of adults. They exist within a universe where dynamic forces of imagination and symbolic action are much more real to them than day to day events are to most adults.

Numerous children have "imaginary" friends and may psychics believe these friends may actually be elementals, nature spirits, ghosts or even the spirits of departed loved ones.
