he Guild of the Serpentlords is the most ancient guild in Achaea, founded by the grandchildren of Sinope and Callisto, the first humans. We are a tightly knit circle of intensely loyal individuals, all equally fascinated by the secret Arts that have been preserved amongst the Serpentlords for countless generations. The native Arts of the Serpentlords are those of Venom, Subterfuge and Hypnosis. The skills practiced by the serpent class are esoteric and complex, requiring dedicated study, thought and practice, but a master Serpentlord assassin is a power to be feared and respected by all. It is rumored that Serpentlords have the potential to become by far the most powerful fighters in Achaea. We are a guild of skill and precision, and many of our elders are praised throughout Sapience as gifted strategists and men of knowledge.

We are a guild dedicated to skill-wise and scholarly pursuits. The Serpentlords enjoy freedom to pursue individual and personal goals, albeit within the greater framework of the Guild itself, along with its attendant needs, obligations and responsibilities. The diversity of interests among us that is inevitable from such personal liberty has effectively made us a very tolerant group of individuals.

The Serpentlords' Guildhouse was the first established in Hashan, in the Northern Ithmia, but its exact location continues to be, as it has for generations, a closely held secret. With the burgeoning growth of Hashan, from remote village to powerful city-state, the forward-looking Serpentlords moved to become more closely allianced with the City, and signed Hashan's guild-city charter. Although the obligations of the charter forced the Guild to reassess and modify its traditional stance of wide-ranging neutrality in regard to the politics of Sapience, it has given us an enormously strong and consolidated base of potential strength and influence from which to operate. The loyalty of the Serpentlords to their City, its citizens, and their sister guilds within Hashan is an extension and reflection of the loyalty that has been the hallmark of the Guild from ancient times.
