Season Premieres
Friends
September 13th, 2002. While there are admittedly a near infinite number of TV shows I'd consider worth watching, "Friends" is certainly a "Must See." The fact that it is the most widely sought after TV show term used on Yahoo! is certainly an indication.
Though there are very few people I know who have never at least heard of "Friends," the show is nonetheless about six individuals who must overcome the regular burdens of life through the companionship of one another. As powerful relationships form between three men and women, one couple of which is already married, new horizons are formed and in the process so are new adventures.
In the last season of friends, we learn that Joey is in love with Rachel; the problem is, so is Ross. Ross is the father of Rachel's unborn child, but Rachel's acceptance of Joey's seemingly present "marriage" proposal complicates the situation further as an unsuspecting Ross comes out of the elevator to declare his love for Rachel. What happens next is what the season Premiere will hopefully answer. See it on September 26th, Thursday 2002.
Charmed
When Melinda Warren was burned at the stake in 1680, she foresaw three of the most powerful good witches the world has ever seen, known as the "Charmed Ones." As she stood in the searing heat, Melinda Warren vowed to pass on her three supernatural powers (the ability to move objects with her mind, freeze objects, and have premonitions) to each subsequent Warren witch, culminating in the grandiosity of the Halliwell sisters.
In the pilot episode of Charmed, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe Halliwell are ordinary individuals struggling to make a living in an ever-growing world. When Phoebe moves into the Halliwell's childhood home, the three are united and eventually discover their role as the envisioned Charmed ones. Bound by the rules of the Book of Shadows, a book whose knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation, the three must learn to work together and rest aside their minor disagreements in order to create the most powerful circle of magic the world has seen: The Power of Three.
Charmed just completed its fourth season with the introduction of Paige Matthews replacing the deceased Prue Halliwell. At the conclusion of Season Three, little is known about the fate of Prue and Piper as both sisters are hurled into a wall by the demonic Shax, a source-hired assassin sent to eliminate the Charmed Ones. He succeeds by killing the eldest and strongest sister Prue, breaking the circle of the Charmed Ones. Enter Paige Halliwell, however, with the power to reconstitute the Power of Three. At the conclusion of Season Four, Phoebe is forced to endure the horrific fate of her husband Cole after vanquishing him. Leo and Piper have a baby, and Phoebe is forced to reconsider her role as a witch as she's lost so much.
