In Magic Knights Rayearth, the three planets who invaded Cephiro represent an Asian country. Faren represents China, Tseta, India and Autozam Japan.

The problem in Autozam is the excess of technology. All the world is governed by machines and it over draining mental energy from the people who don't have anything to think in the place, because the computers and machines take care of all.

And this problem grow up fast, becoming a danger to the people of Autozam. They should need a new mental energy's font to survive. If it doesn't happen all the planet would die.

Eagle was the governance's son, the best fighter of Autozam and also who had the bigger mental capacity (he was the most intelligent). Moreover, he had the stronger machine of the planet, FTO.

In Autozam he becomes the best friend of a foreigner who had came from Cephiro and was Lantis, who went way from his birth planet after get knowing of the unfair laws (he knew his brother Zagato loved the Princess Emeroude).

The first time Eagle and Lantis knew each other was in a fight arena. Eagle, with his FTO fighted with Lantis in other machine and lost the battle for the first time. Then he tried to talk to Lantis, who was the only one that won him. And so they become friends.

Lantis was too quiet, but to Eagle he told everything about his life and Cephiro, saying that in there the power of the mind can everything.

Later, when Lantis get knowing of Zagato and the Princess dead, he returned to Cephiro.

And Eagle decided to invade Cephiro to get the planet's mental energy to his people or to see a place where his people could live there.

When he arrived in Cephiro, Eagle soon fighted with Magic Knights who had been summoned again and he had his first contact with Hikaru and her powerful Machine, Rayearth (yeah, the fight scenes between Rayearth and FTO are amazing!)

Many fights got happen between Eagle and Hikaru, always with Lantis in the middle, trying to stop the proposes of his friend.

Until the moment that Eagle take Hikaru away to his nave NSX.

There they talk each other and Eagle confess to the Magic Knight that he was being forced to invade Cephiro just to save his people, and he also tells her he would pretend to be the Planet's Center. He would never hurt the people from Cephiro. He just wanted to save Autozam.

Hikaru says to him that the Center wasn't omnipotent like he thought and to be the person who were the Center would be hurted a lot.

The Autozam's commander answer that he knew all of that because Lantis had already told him Cephiro's story. But he pretended to save his planet giving his happiness if necessary to do it.

The conversation is interrupted by Lantis that appears in a energy horse to rescue Hikaru. Anyway, she's taken away for Nova, who teleports her first to Cephiro.

Once alone, Eagle and Lantis seen each other face a face and said almost nothing. Then Lantis go away saying he wouldn't like to fight with him.

Soon enter in the room Geo and some guards who had listened strange sounds there. Geo talk to his friend who confess him that it was too hard see Lantis looking at him like he had seen, and he completes saying he almost changed of idea...

Later, Eagle starts to demonstrate that he was very sick. He has some violent cough attacks, and he coughs blood!

When Geo discovers his illness, Eagle says that he is really going to die soon and so they need to solve Autozam's situation soon. He also asks to his friend to never tell to Lantis about that.

So, the commandant decides to invade Cephiro seriously and enter in the castle. There, he fights with Magic Knights and finish fainted because at the same time, in the room where was the Pillar's symbol, Debonér was trying to get the Princess Emeroude's crown and her spirit defended the object. To do this, the Princess used all her power and this power made all in the castle faint...

When Eagle wake up, he is looked in a transparent sphere, and he stays there some episodes. Sometimes Hikaru or Lantis came to talk to him...

In one of this times, Nova, who was persecuting Lantis because she already knew about Hikaru's love for him, found him talking to Eagle in his prison and she said to the prisoner: "You! Hikaru respects you, she likes you at all!". This is because Nova was a part of Hikaru's hearth. She was a creature created by the Magi Knight's soul when she killed Princess Emeroude, and Debonér had taken care of Nova. So, Nova always knows what is on Hikaru's heart and had a big jealousy about Lantis, Umi, Fuu and Eagle.

This time, Lantis and Eagle finish defending each other and the commandant shows that he had a lot of hid weapons in his cloths and so that prison mean nothing for him...

So Hikaru arrives and makes go Nova away. When he stays alone, Eagle think about Nova's words...and then decides really to become the Pillar and arrive in the Symbol's Room soon. This room could only be open by Lantis's Sword or Guru Cléf's Ring.

Eagle explodes the sphere and starts his procure for Lantis. When he finds him, the two start a duel because Eagle wanted to get Lantis's sword.

Near there, Magic Knights separated from each other in order to find the fugitive and Hikaru finish finding Lantis and Eagle fighting.

So, without more explications, Lantis's sword teletransports the three to the Pillar's Room and opens the door.

Eagle run to the room, while Lantis scream that if he didn't serve to be the Pillar, he would die. Desperate with this possibility, Hikaru goes behind him and both enter in the room at the same time.

Lantis is paralyzed in front of the room and just can moves his body when he sees the two being brought out of the room, fainted, but lives. And he stays confused, because just one person could leave this room with life...

Eagle is looked again in the sphere of energy and when wake up, he reflects about the fact of he had survived to the room and about Princess Emeroude's words that he and Hikaru had listen there. She said that one of them would be the pillar, because the two had the same force in the heart...

In this time, Nova attacks the castle again and takes Lantis away.

Desperate about his sort, Hikaru goes to cry in Eagle's shoulder. He says to her that Lantis could be fine. The Magic Knight says she loves Lantis and she doesn't have conviction about his feelings about her.

Eagle says that the love is really complex and we can't choose who we are going to love. He gave the Princess Emeroude and Zagato's example.

Then they talk about their plans if they were the Pillar and Eagle has another cough attack. Hikaru decides to free him and leave him go back to NSX.

The commandant promises he would not invade Cephiro any more after a conversation with Guru Cléf. He obtain the Wizard's word that Autozam could live in Cephiro without problems.

Before going away, Eagle repeats to Hikaru that Lantis would not die and was going to come back because he wasn't like his brother. And completes saying that he loves her too.

Hikaru doesn't say anything and he enter in the robot to go back to his nave.

But he soon has to come back to Cephiro, because when he arrives in NSX, discovers that Nova dad looked Lantis in her robot, Regalia, and that she was using his magical techniques to finish with Magic Knights.

Eagle decides to come back soon to help them, but he has another one cough attack, this time VERY violent.

Geo doesn't want him go but the commandant insists that it's his dream to die like a soldier and not because some illness.

His friend comprehends he would give his life for Lantis and Hikaru and leave him go. Before going, Eagle asks for his friends forgiven because he was going to his own end and says that Geo would be the new NSX's commandant.

During the fight against Nova, his robot is almost destroyed, but he discovers that only Hikaru could broke the enchantment that captured Lantis fainted inside Nova's robot.

Hikaru vacillated in scream for Lantis, but she finish doing it. Her voice wake up Zagato's brother and Nova starts to became scared. Furious with Eagle, she attacks him more and more, but the Autozam's commandant can't defend himself because he is too weak. Hikaru tries to help him and Nova says: "What happened? Do you like him? More then before?"

Eagle's robot is almost scrap heap, and he listens to Lantis's voice asking to he destroy Nova's robot with he inside. But the noble commandant answers he didn't want to see tears in Hikaru's face. Lantis promises save himself while Eagle distract Nova.

Eagle makes his poor FTO get up and attacks Nova's robot with all his force. So Lantis calls for his power: "Thunderbolt, go ahead!!!", and the power gets Regalia! Anyway, Eagle was very fast and taken Lantis away from the robot before his power arrives...

Lantis was safe, Nova, Hikaru, Umi and Fuu were astonished. Eagle was in the ground almost died.

So Debonér arrives and destroy FTO, with Eagle inside it. He dies asking for Lantis makes Hikaru happy.

At the end, Hikaru became the Pillar and desire that never more in Cephiro's story should exist a Pillar and the planet should be happy without him!

This is the end of the Autozam's commander in the anime, but in the manga we have some differences: the first of all is the illness. Eagle is not with this cough, but his brain is getting paralyzed because he always used too much mental energy. In few time his body would be initialized. And this is manga's end. Eagle doesn't die, but he enters in some kind of coma. Anyway, with Guru Cléf's help he cans speak to the others and continue his life in Cephiro. It's too sad, isn't it?
