Street Fighter 2

The White Angel: part 8

Chun Li sat in the helicopter with her hands between her legs, a nervous look glancing around the Navy SEALS that was accompanying her. They were all armed with silenced MP5Ks, the main weapons in the SEALS arsenal. She herself was carrying her Beretta 92F in her holster.
They were all dressed in black SEAL team outfits, even Chun Li. She felt a little uncomfortable with it on, but she couldn't wear her kung-fu dress. She would look way too susceptible.
Some of the SEALS were a little too hot-headed for her tastes. One of them, Hudson, was walking up and down the corridor, obviously happy about the fact that there was a pretty girl with them.
"Hey, there, Miss oriental-babe!" She glanced up at him, expressionless. "Don't worry little lady, we'll take real good care of you. Me and my squad of ultimate killing machines will protect you. Check it out. We got machine-guns, tracking devices, we got everything needed for a mission as critical as this one. We'll be able to save your pretty face any day of the….."
The man next to Chun Li, Dallas, grabbed Hudson by his belt, and pulled him down into an empty seat. His voice was low, but it carried.
"Zip it."
Hudson sat back, suddenly docile.
Chun Li nodded her thanks to the commander, the team leader. Young face, old eyes, she thought as they studied him. Seen more than he should have in his time. Probably more than he's wanted to.
She didn't mind the quiet that followed Hudson's soliloquy. There was hysteria enough in the base. She didn't need to listen to any extra. The commander leaned towards her.
"Don't mind Hudson. Don't mind any of 'em. They're all like that, but in a tight spot there's none better."
"If he can shoot a gun as well as he does with his mouth, maybe it'll take my blood pressure down a notch."
Dallas grinned. "Don't worry on that score. Hudson's a comtech, but he's a close-combat specialist, just like everybody else."
"You too?"
"I'm not here because I wanted to be a betting shop manager."
After a long period of silence, the pilot informed them that they were just about to fly over the Malaysian border. Dallas picked himself up off the seat and walked around the transport chopper.
"Alright people, listen up. We'll be landing at the fortress in a few minutes. I want everyone to check their weapons and make sure they won't jam."
The SEALS checked their weapons for any significant problems. After extensive searching, they couldn't find any. Satisfied, they looked back at Commander Dallas to hear what he had to say next.
"Detective Chun Li Xiang here is our specialist. When we've evacuated any hostages, she'll launch green flares. We wait for the transports to arrive and they'll pick us up, leaving the way clear for our air-strike."
"Define hostages, sir." said one of the SEALS, a man named Levine.
"I'll answer that." Chun Li said, standing up to address the SEALS. "We're rescuing any innocent people, mostly young children, who are being experimented and brain-washed to become lethal assassins. Shadowloo kidnaps children from their homes and brings them here. We're to make sure that they stop this operation once and for all."
Dallas continued, "You hear that? Any children who haven't been brainwashed yet are to be released as soon as possible. If you confront any assassins, don't whatever you do kill them unless it's absolutely necessary."
The men grumbled, talking about why Shadowloo would do such a thing.
"One more thing. Make sure you keep Detective Xiang alive."
"I prefer to be called Chun Li, sir." Chun Li interrupted.
"Very well, make sure you keep Chun Li alive. Interpol want her back alive, no questions asked. If she's in any danger, help her out immediately."
"Yes sir," Hudson piped up. "Wouldn't want a beautiful lady like her getting herself killed now, would we?"
"Your compliment is dutifully noted, Hudson." Chun Li said with a smile.
Dallas finished off his speech. "Alright, get ready. Remember, we're in the fight of our lives, against one of the biggest terrorists since World War two, I shit you not."
The pilot looked back. "We're going dark."
"Night Vision!" Commander Dallas called out.
The lights dimmed and turned blue as night vision was switched on. The helicopter was joined on both sides by two Apaches that were dispatched earlier.
After a while, the Apaches separated as decoys. The Chinook circled over a small area of land, then touched down.
The SEALS assembled at the exit ramp.
"Everybody good to go?" Dallas asked.
"Good to go!" They all responded, including Chun Li. The green light shone, and the mission began.
They jumped out to the ground near the forest located by the base and made their way to the fortress.

The eight SEALS, and the Interpol detective, had walked through the darkness of nighttime for nearly two hours till they located the base. A vertical cliff face stood into view. At the very bottom, hidden doors opened, letting a transport truck drive outwards. Dallas looked through the binoculars and saw a pair of remote-controlled guns defend the two doors, each with two CCTV cameras. Two armed guards patrolled the outside wall.
There wasn't any other point of entry from what they could see, apart from circular hangar doors at the top of the cliff that opened up and released a Hind-D, which they couldn't ascend. The doors were the only way in.
Chun Li watched as Dallas considered his options.
"With those remotes, a full frontal assault is next door to impossible. Sneaking in's not possible either. We could crawl along the cliff face, but with a nine-man team, we'd be spotted easily."
"Any other suggestions?" Chun Li asked.
"There's the helicopter hanger doors at the top of the cliff, but we can't scale it."
"So what you're saying is, we can't get in."
"If you've got any better suggestions, then I'd love to hear them."
At that point, Chun Li noticed a truck moving nearby, holding several guards. They could intercept it and comandeer the truck.
"Then hear this…."

The truck drove on towards the fortress, it's contents grinning at the thought of seeing the newly developed assassins. They were new recruits, here to relieve the current troops stationed at the base. And some of the girls that were kidnapped were very pretty indeed.
They were only a couple of miles from the base when they suddenly stopped. One of the soldiers peered out of the canvas.
"Hey, what the hell's going on?"
He was shut up as a bullet penetrated through his head. He fell out of the back.
The other soldiers tried to grab their own MP5K guns when several Navy SEALS appeared, aiming their own guns at them.
"Hi, fellas." One of the SEALS said with a smile.

Chun Li was almost enjoying herself. Almost.
There was a certain thrill in infiltrating a Shadowloo base to rescue several young children from a ruined life. It was damn hard in curing Cammy from her past life, and even then she wasn't sure she had completely healed her. This was her chance to stop Bison from ruining any more young lives.
She was in the back of the truck, still in her SEALS uniform. Surrounding her were the rest of the SEALS, this time in Shadowloo uniform taken off the guards. They had taken over the truck and were heading towards the base. The plan was to infiltrate the base as Shadowloo soldiers, with an enemy Interpol agent in tow for questioning. Hopefully, it wouldn't arouse the attentions of the guards, who were expecting reinforcements anyway. The promise of 'interrogating' a pretty Interpol agent would be too much to miss out on.
However, in the back of her head she knew that she'd rather be at home taking care of Cammy. She was pretty attached to her friend, that she may even have considered her to be her best friend. She was afraid as to whether she made the right choice as to leaving her behind.
But she's under protection by Interpol. You shouldn't worry about her. Worry about the children you'll be saving now.
Chun Li drew her attention to the mission. This was far too important to worry about anything else. At least Cammy would soon meet people who lived through the same shit she had been through all her life……and survived.
They were coming up to the fortress. Dallas told them to get ready. The SEALS sat back, their MP5Ks on their laps.
They came up to the armed guards. The remote guns aimed towards them.
Dallas handed the notepad with the documents that the Shadowloo guards were carrying, and the guard motioned them inside. The doors opened, and Dallas drove the truck inside.
The climbed out of the truck and walked into the fortress, four SEALS on each side of the 'captured' detective. Chun Li walked between them, waiting for the right time to strike.
They were directed by an agent towards a huge door. The Shadowloo agent opened the doors and the disguised SEALS walked inside.
They were now in a large circular chamber, with a platform the ran the length around it about 20 feet from the ground. Chun Li started to worry whether this was going okay. Her suspicions were realised when the door closed behind them and several Shadowloo soldiers rose up from behind the platform, their FAMASs pointed towards the SEALS.
The SEALS raised their MP5Ks, but realised that they wouldn't win. Chun Li's own weapon, her Beretta 92F, was in Dallas's holster.
Suddenly, Chun Li looked up and saw a familiar shape in the middle of the ring of Shadowloo soldiers.
"Well, well. It appears we have finally caught you, Detective."
The man wore his traditional red uniform and hat, emblazoned with the skull and wings of the Shadowloo symbol. Chun Li knew who it was from the moment she saw him. The anger in her flooded through her veins.
"Bison!"
"Yes, Detective Chun Li Xiang, how nice of you to remember me."
"I prefer being just called Detective Li, Bison."
"Ah, yes, the name Xiang died with your father, didn't it?"
Chun Li said nothing.
"Commander, my men are in an elevated position, so it is impossible for you to win. So don't get any ideas. Just drop your weapons and place them at the end of the room."
The SEALS dropped their weapons. Seven of them skidded across the floor. Suddenly, one of the SEALS picked up the gun and aimed it at Bison. One of the agents fired. The armed SEAL fell to the ground, several bullet holes shown in his body.
"Idiot." Bison remarked, "Always one to try and play 'hero'."
One of the agents motioned the SEALS to line up against the window. Chun Li was about to walk with them, when Bison stopped her.
"Not you, Miss Li. I've got something special planned for you."
Chun Li stood, her hands loose by her side. Whatever it was that Bison had planned for her, she wasn't going to look forward to it.
"Miss Li, I'd like to re-introduce you to a young friend of yours."
Suddenly, the door in front of Chun Li opened. A young girl walked in, and Chun Li recoiled in shock. She wore the Shadowloo uniform of an assassin. Her face was still as pretty as it always was, but it hid a sinister look. It was expressionless, unemotional. The look of a killer.
But it was still her. Chun Li's fear grew inside her, almost overtaking her anger.
"Cammy!"
"Yes, Detective. The same girl who you grew so attached to is now back in my hands. And you're going to fight her. Otherwise, the SEALS, and you, will die. Every minute you spend fighting her, I kill one of your American friends. So you're going to have to make this quick."
"I won't do this."
Another SEAL died as he was riddled with bullet holes by another Shadowloo soldier's gun. There were now six left.
Bison smiled. "You're going to do this, Detective. How many more people are you going to let me killed before you start?"
Chun Li knew she was in a no-win situation. She had to fight.
She made a fighting stance and prepared to fight her friend, hoping to find some way to restore Cammy's memories.
"Cammy, don't you remember me? It's me, Chun Li."
Cammy didn't respond. She simply ran towards Chun Li, ready to attack.
