Greetings to all, and welcome to Una Negra, a small isolated city about 5 hours
north of San Francisco. The city is one of mystery, one that is cloaked in the
shadows of its past, and one that hides many secrets. For those denizens of the
World of Darkness who call Una Negra home, it is a city both of danger and of peace.
Una Negra is a city of rebirth and endings. A cold wind chills its inhabitants at
night, no matter how warmly the sun shines during the day. Creatures of all paths
are drawn to the city, due to its long heritage. Vampires control much of the city,
as they normally do, but share their control and alliances with powerful mages that
have been around since the city's rebirth. Garou patrol the wilderness that surrounds
the city, making them a strong element in the mix. Then there are the others, mixing
and mingling, creating their own plans.
Beyond the world you see, beyond all that you know, is a darker shadowy world running
hidden behind the mundane world. Like a secret undercurrent in the river of life, the
Awakened gather. Beings of strange and dangerous occult natures fight behind the
darkening and changing world, in conflict with sides of these secret cultures, in
conflict within their own societies, and in conflict within themselves over their
own nature. The world is a modern scientific one now, and few beyond the Awakened
believe the supernatural could exist. Discovery by humanity could mean death or
worse, and the Awakened keep to strict codes of their own design that they themselves
cannot break. Striving to enlightenment, fighting against forces beyond our world
and those of our world who wish only oblivion on this world, the Awakened have few
places to turn to get away from the ever-present conflict and turmoil.
Existing in the city are few bastions of neutrality, but they do exist. Paradise Blues is one of them. A neutral ground created and honored by an awakened owner, Blues is a free zone. No tribe or clan control here. Here one can come in for a cup of coffee, a good stiff drink, and a game of pool and enjoy it in peace.
Paradise Blues, along with its sister channel Shamus & Shaman, are set in the fictional city of Una Negra. Both channel ideas and the use of the city is prohibited with out an okay by one of the managers. Other wise, feel free to join us and game.
