Lace's Tales

~ The Emperor's Campaign

Entry 6

Kazgoroth was not as I expected it to be. I suppose I had

thought that with a vampire lord there would be death in the

streets, but it is not so. My brother is a good ruler, I will give

him that. I hope that we can speak to him on this matter, and

I want to try to understand him better. He is family, and I must

try to help him if I can.

I met with Martyrian, and soon realized that he is not the evil

vampire I has feared. He is fair and just, and cares about this

island, in his own way. He somehow has maintained a love (?)

for family as well. I don't know why, or how, but I am glad.

It seems that Kelson has made peace with Martyrian, to save

Feng's Keep, which came under attack. My grandmother,

uncle and all of the green tigers are dead. Regarg lead the

attack, carrying the Silk Blade. My heart was heavy with

saddness to hear of these events, but things were only to

become worse. R'zan now had the blade, and he, Jerith and I

were now bound to Martyrian's side, due to Kelson's treaty.

I knew not what to do, but agreed to abide by the terms

Kelson had made. At least it will allow me to know Martyrian

better, and maybe convince him that his family does still care.
