Entry 1
It has begun.
Today Kelson decided to go to Veryll, where Regarg had said
enemy troops were going to attack. We arrived, and indeed,
the enemy did attack...but not in the numbers we expected.
The Green Tigers and Androuises' elven archers were able
to take most of them out before they even made it
to the gates of the town. Many Green Knights died, and they
will not be easily replaced.
The enemy had mages, something we lack. One of these
mages killed a squad of Green Tigers, then came to
present Kelson with a letter from Azerian. After that
Kelson went to his tent and stayed there, not sharing
what the contents were. R'zan and I are anxious to know,
as it is our job to deal with Azerian, but when asked Kelson
said he would share the information when it was time.
I must trust in his judgement, he is family, and will soon be
my emperor as well.
When we arrived home to Feng's Keep we realized that
the attack on Veryell was all a ploy. The enemy, while
our troops were elsewhere, snuck around our borders and
now surrounds us. Azerian is indeed a skilled tactitian,
I only hope we can learn from this, and not fall for his
tricks again.
