The Light of the Moon
The Light of the Moon is a plot that brings Thalia back into the limelight of the
Varati culture. The basis of the plot concerns the two basic stances toward Thalia
on Aether. There are those who like Thalia, or believe that she is an example
for Varati women, or see her as a reincarnation of
Vinita, or believe her to
be divine in her own right-- the pro-Thalia cult. On the other hand, there are those
who hate Thalia, or believe that she is the harbringer of destruction to tradition, or
dislike her Empyrean background, or believe her to be a traitor to the Empyre-- the
anti-Thalia cult. The story also provides a motivation for the Thalia character to
move towards becoming a true leader, rather than merely
the symbolic wife of Khalid Atar.
The plot will provide impetus for changes in Thalia's personality as she attempts to become
a bridge between two dichotomously opposed societies.
Resolution Eclipse
If Thalia is the Moon, then her light must be eliminated. This is the purpose of
Resolution Eclipse. The plot ran its course. Below are the Player Characters
who were members of Resolution Eclipse as well as logs, bulletin board posts,
and letters which occurred as part of the plot.
Members of Resolution Eclipse:
- Jehan - Leader of Resolution Eclipse
- Jehan has come to the city only recently, flashing great wealth, the origin of
which nobody knows. Ever since arriving, he has been avid in his contempt
for Thalia and all that concerns her, and has become quite public in his
objections. Some even say he has obtained a cult following... He's
considered a dangerous man, as he's also a renegade fire mage.
- Geridan - Second in Command of Resolution Eclipse
- After an inter-clan conflict, Geridan challenged his leader to combat for
control of the clan. The challenge was ignored. Geridan was then seized
and exiled. No where else to go, no longer a Kshatri and without a clan he
comes to Haven to find a new life and relief from the pain that threatens
to consume his soul. He is still a believer in the Varati code and claims he
follows it. On a mission of Honor he hopes to clear the names of his family
so that their souls can rest in peace. Those who have seen him before have
seen a change in him as of late. His eyes, once the purest of black now
appear as a soft mix of blues and greys. Rumors say he has been seen
coming in an out of the Atesh-Gah, and that he has been seen frequently
with a young Empyrean girl and a Mongrel boy. A skilled swordsman, and a
deep thinker, his mood can change quickly and often.
