A Acron (Hepzhi), Master of the Apeiron

Acron, the all powerful master of the Apeiron, was said to be the very first Ancient One that came to be within the sphere. Being the living force behind the elements, he has always been revered, praised, or at least respected by every single tribe or nation in Raokrá at one time or another.

Acron has never (until very recent times) been fond of humanity, he used to consider all living things as parasites living on his perfect creation, using the elements as their toys. This can be seen clearly in ascan legend, where Acron ordered the creation of the Dust Men to destroy mankind, and later created the most fearsome natural (not coming from Chaos) creature that has ever walked the face of Raokrá to destroy the ascans.

A few centuries ago, a humble fisherman, destined to become the great Hamid the enlightened, found a fist sized black pearl that had washed ashore. This pearl (known by atheshians as the "Kara inci") , was none other than the Eye of Rao, a vessel for living primordial energy of the walker of the storm. Acron saw this, and realized what great catastrophes could arise from the use of the artifact; being powerless before the energies of a primordial, Acron himself came down to the world of mortals and appeared before Hamid.

The Master of the Apeiron spoke to Hamid, and told him of the disaster to come should the black pearl fell into the wrong hands, he told him that he was now to keep it and safeguard it, so that its fearsome powers may forever rest. Acron had no choice in this, he knew the tremendous power of the pearl, and was not willing to force Hamid into using it out of fear.

Acron forged an alliance with Hamid, the Ancient One was to protect Hamid and his brethren, as long as they would protect the pearl from anyone who wished to possess it. Hamid then traveled all across Athesh, sharing his revelation with all he encountered, telling them of the great Hepzhi (name for Acron, it simply means "All") and his power.

The new religion spread like wildfire, and in a few years most of the inhabitants of the land of the burning sun kneeled before their new benefactor. Acron, for his part, found this quite pleasing, seeing how these mortals could carry and enforce his will all over the world.

An important thing to note in this subject is the fact that Acron's enmity with Ascan, started with the Dust Men and Asckura, lasts to this day. An enmity that extends to their respective priests, and that explains the historical hatred between Alis and Athesh, a hatred that started through their respective religions.

Acron seems to have taken a certain appreciation for his followers, especially considering that he still supports them even though the Black Pearl was stolen and ultimately lost during the year of the dead.

There are hardly any priests of Acron to be found anywhere else but in Athesh and its colonies, and other cultures that worship the elemental forces praise and receive their powers from the respective minor forces of the elements.

Acron's (or Hepzhi's if you prefer) clergy is divided into several orders, each serving their own role in society. All of them follow the "Inak", which is the set of rules and beliefs all believers must adhere to. The two main orders' priests are proud and very intolerant to any other belief, they preach their deity's superiority above others at any chance.

The pure priests of Hepzhi

Important orders: "Hepzhi, araliksiz efendi" (meaning "Hepzhi, the perpetual lord")

The pure priests of Hepzhi hold important positions as judges, counselors to noble houses or the Kral (King) himself, and generally are political advisors or counselors to the most important persons in Athesh. These priests hold enormous responsabilities within the nation, and are fiercely loyal to their duties.

Because of this loyalty, these priests are not allowed to practice any activities which may cloud their judgement (drink alcohol for example) or sway them from their duties, the reason why they are not allowed to marry or have any children.

The pure priests of Hepzhi are proud and wise, they know their place in society and enforce it at every chance, even a minor disrespect may incur their wrath. On this note, any common citizen of Athesh that comes across one of these priests must make a small reverence, lowering one's head is usually enough.

Priests of War

Important orders: "Hepzhi Intikam" (Hepzhi's vengeance)

Acron is very warlike, especially when it comes to proving his superiority over the forces of life (Ascan and his followers), and so grants some of his priests with fierce combat abilities.

Whereas the pure priests reign supreme in politics, the priests of Hepzhi's vengeance excel in war and combat, and the highest ranking members of this order are advisors to generals and other military officers, and more often than not, the priests are officers and generals themselves.

These priests are violent and short tempered, ready to strike at anyone they perceive as an enemy, while they are better strategists than fighters, they are more than willing to charge head on into combat.

Priests of Fire, earth, water and air

Somewhat less important than the other two orders, there are priests of each of the four elements in Athesh. These elemental priests are nowhere near as closely related to the government as the two orders above, they are nomads who live in the desert, following their own mysticism and ideas (ideas that never stray too far from the Inak, of course).

Of these other priests, the priests of water and air are a true oddity in Athesh, while the other two kinds are far more common.

These priests recieve the very same powers as those granted to the priest of each of the four elemental minor forces, and behave very alike, except that the Atheshian priests are lawful in nature, since they have to follow the Inak.
