Ever since their creation, all members of the sentient races inherently feel the existence of greater beings with powers far beyond their own, and many of these individuals have seen these beings as their creators and benefactors, and while some praise them with prayers when they require their favor, others decided to dedicate their lives in their service. It is those individuals who have recieved the favor of the gods, and have a small amount of the god's power at their disposal.
Even though many of Raokrá's supreme beings are not particularly fond of humanity, all of them recognize the need for earthly agents outside the council of immortals. And that is why the Ancient Ones, Minor Forces, and even the Lord of Chaos himself have given powers to their most devout followers.
The following is a small summary of just what powers each of Raokrá's deities bestow upon their followers, and what they ask in return.
It is important to remember that the Ancient Ones bestow clerical powers based on the "attributes" rule found in the cleric's handbook, which states that a single god may allow access to different groups of spheres (if he stands for several things, war and fire, peace and love, etc.), and as such may have several types of clerics at his service.
Even though they praise the same god, the names of the orders, their social position and ideas may change slightly (or greatly) from culture to culture, and different cultures certainly have different names for the deities. These names, however, are the most common ones, since the official religion of the Thyranian empire praises the ascan pantheon, and the empire distributed its beliefs all over its colonies.
Note : Spheres in bold are from the Tome of Magic
The Primordials
By far the most powerful creatures known to exist in the entire storm, the two known primordials are the forces of the basic universal concepts; Order and Chaos. The difference between a primordial and an Ancient One is simmilar to that between a man and a god.
Miszhná; the Lady of Order
Since Miszhná sacrificed her existence to defeat and trap Rao, Miszhná can no longer bestow powers upon her followers. Or at least so is believed...
The Ancient Ones
The Ancient Ones are the supreme beings in the sphere (aside from Rao), they are the greater forces of existence, one of them being the conscious expression of all matter and the other two the expression of all living things and their ultimate, necessary end.
Acron, Master of the Apeiron (the four elements)
The Minor forces
Not nearly as powerful as the Ancient Ones, the minor forces are more specific deities emanated from the Ancient Ones. This, of course, is not known by many cultures across Raokrá, who praise several minor forces as supreme beings above all other forces.
Desdrek, goddess of Beauty, Love and Fertility
Urdish, patron of art and artists
Ondrak, lord of fire
Figné, the misstress of Air
Marnis, god of Water
Asckura, master of the earth
Rugnar, keeper of Knowledge
