On December 13th, 1997....700 kids that were watching Pok�mon went to the hospital regaurding seizures. This is all because Pikachu blew up some torpedoes that were heading straight for Porygon (prnounced Poligon in Japanese) the cyber Pok�mon. Why don't you just see what happened for yourself in this video clip of the shock that gave the seizure? Click here to see the scene that made everyone sick ( don't worry, the digitalized version will NOT make you have a seizure). Since then, a bunch of scientists have been trying to figure out how light affects the brain. The only conclusoin they came up with was that there was toooooo much flashing light on the screen. Even after a devastating occourance, the Pok�mon show continued on April 15, 98' ( my b-day) and the Pok�mon Movie was released on June 16 that year (of course)! Which is pretty good considering a lot of kids had a seizures!
