¤¤ Introduction ¤¤
"Hail O' ye honored seeker! Welcome to Avalon, hearth and haven (...and home page) of the Knights of the Bardic Order! What is the Bardic Order ye may ask? 'Tis a guild unlike none other that I hath e'er seen before or since. It is a guild of whom I am proud of its glorious history and of those loyal followers who hath answered its call over this past year. Adored by some, reviled and envied by others, but understood by few, the Bardic Order combines its unwavering dedication to the moral high ground in all things, with none of the innocent naivete of others who hath striven to walk upon the same virtuous path, whilst maintaining the cunning, secrecy, and singularity of purpose and direction oft employed by those that hath strayed far from the path of high principles for which the Bardic Order stands: Loyalty, Nobility, and Grace. The Bardic Order never gives up, never surrenders, and with its principles behind it and its path ahead clear...it hath never lost. Where as many of its friends and foes alike hath snatched defeat and ruin from the jaws of victory securing their place as an eternal footnote in the chronicles of the realm, the Bardic Order hath survived all adversity placed before it, showing to all that indeed, only the stars outlive the Bardic Order..."
- Richard of Lightlore, Ard-Righ
¤¤ Brief History ¤¤
Founded the first week of this realm, Meridian Server 105, (after moving from Server 101) on November 1996, in the Celtic tradition of warriors, poets, and spiritual seekers, and as a guild that predates all other guilds that inhabit this server, the Knights of the Bardic Order (KBO) hath been an unequaled influence on the destinies and affairs of all who walk these lands. From its defeat of the Sexy Horde on December 21st 1996 and Baby Troll's surrender to Richard of Lightlore, to its series of campaigns against the Horde founder Daisy's successor guilds (Legion of Konima & the Death Knights of Ebon), the banner of the KBO hath been carried high to dispel the darkest tyrannies that e'er hath befallen upon the people's of Meridian server 105.
¤¤ The Bardic Order Today ¤¤
Although the peaceful lands of today bear little comparison to the strife-ridden days of lore that few doth remember, the Knights of the Bardic Order must maintain its eternal vigilance against new challenges as they arise. Followers of the Bardic Order doth have the esteemed privilege to share in both the continuing history of the guild, and the obligations and dedication required to maintain its reputation of loyalty, nobility, and grace in the face of treachery, pettiness, and brutishness.
¤¤ Founding Charter of the Bardic Order ¤¤
The following are the five pages of the Founding Charter. This document was not created at the original founding of the guild, but later after it hath endured and triumphed o'er great adversity. If ye wish to understand the Bardic Order, read these pages well for indeed every syllable and word hath been forged by the trials and tribulations this guild hath faced in its rich history.

¤¤ Anon, for now... ¤¤
"If ye hath read the words herein and ye hath a better appreciation for the Bardic Order then this provisional page hath served its purpose. But beyond appreciation and understanding, I also hope to ignite the curiosity of, and inform our fellow travelers as to the existence of such a guild as this. A guild that doth not reach for the lowest of common bonds and motivations, but a guild that believes in giving in to the best and most noblest of one's inclinations."
