EXCALIBUR

Excalibur was a sword of Power. Merlin received it from the Lady of the Lady. It was first given to Uther Pendrgaon by Merlin to rule the Lands. Uther won many wars with it, until his lust distroyed him. On the day that Arthur was born, story tellers tell us that Uther followed Merlin into the Forest, his enemies had followed. When Uther realized that his days as King were done, he drove Excalibur into a large stone in the middle of the Forest.

For 15 years to come, people gathered around the sword. Many knights jousted for the Sword. For the person that pulled Excalibur from the Stone would be the Next King.

But only Merlin knew that Arthur would be the one to pull Excalibur from the Stone. Arthur was the Son of Uther Pendragon, the only heir and rightful King.

The movie "Excalibur" tells, that when the day came for Arthur's brother Kay to joust, Kay's sword had been stolen. Arthur seeing the person that had stolen his brothers sword, ran after him. Losing him in the woods, he turned and found himself standing next to Excalibur.

Arthur had thought that he could give Excalibur to his brother and would be forgiven for allowing Cain's sword to be stollen. Arthur was unknowing that whom ever pulled Excalibur from the stone would be King.

It was very easy for Arthur to pull Excalibur from the stone, since he was the person meant to. Fore told by Merlin the day that Uther drove Excalibur into the stone. This made many of the other Knights angry, to think that a boy could be King.
