The Kar-Tet were once a nomadic tribe travelling through lands a great many lengths north of the great city of Generica. One day a great being, Orthos came to Suso, the clan lord at the time, and commissioned he and the Kar-Tet to build a mighty temple for all to behold what Orthos called "the coming". After many years, the great temple was built and a ghostly woman came to the Kar-Tet, who had built a village around the temple called Brookeshire. She presented Suso with the Darus Egg, which was redish in color. The egg became the responsibility of the Kar-Tet, not only to ensure it's safety but also to teach other followers about the greatness of Orthos. Many other nomadic tribes came in contact with the Kar-Tet and settled around them to be close to their new faith. The conglomerate of clans became a confederation, ruled by a council of the clan lords. The Kar-Tet are known for the spiritual leaders and skilled guardians of the Darus Egg. Recently, the Darus Egg was stolen by followers of Regath, a daemon and the greatest enemy of Orthos. The Kar-Tet and other clans gathered to create massive armies to destroy the threat of Regath, and the guardians of the egg were also sent to find and return the Darus Egg. The lives of thousands of people depend on the return of the egg. |
