What is a Saiyan?
A Saiyan is a Human-like species from a planet called Vegita. Frieza destroyed their home planet. Saiyans go to various planets destroying them. They have black hair (with the exception of Trunks), tails like a monkey, and are probably the most powerful species in the universe. When a Saiyan with a fully grown tail looks at a full moon, they become Oozaru, in other words known as "Big Monkey."
Super Saiyan Levels
SSJ1 (Super Saiyan Level 1) - This stage was first reached by Goku in the Frieza Saga after Frieza killed Piccolo and Krillin. His hair turns yellowish-gold and his eyes turn green. Yellow waves of power surround him. Estimated power level - 3,000,000-27,000,000
SSJ2 (Super Saiyan Level 2) - This stage was first reached by Gohan in the Cell Saga. Cell wanted to see his true power, and Gohan showed it to him, with a little help from #16. His hair is slightly longer than the first SSJ level. Estimated power level - 40,000,000
SSJ3 (Super Saiyan Level 3) - This stage was first reached by Goku in the Buu Saga. Goku was just fed up with him so he went SSJ3. His hair is much longer and his appearance is a little more evil. Estimated power level - 80,000,000
SSJ4 (Super Saiyan Level 4) - This stage was first reached by Chibi Goku in DBGT. In this SSJ level, Goku transforms back into his adult body, but in this form his upper body is covered with red fur and his eyes are outlined in dark red. He also grows his tail back. Estimated power level - ??????????
Oozaru (Were-Monkey) - A Saiyan with a tail that looks at a full moon or anything that looks like a full moon will turn into Oozaru. Oozaru is a several hundred foot tall brown haired monkey. All Saiyans can be under control in this form except for Goku and Gohan. Estimated power level - 400,000,000
Ougon Oozaru (Golden Were-Monkey) - A Saiyan with a tail that looks at a full moon or anything that looks like a moon will turn into Oozaru. Oozaru is a several hundred foot tall yellow haired monkey. Estimated power level - 800,000,000
