Intuitions

Part One

Remy LeBeau sighed as he pushed the snooze button on his alarm clock for the third time. He would have gotten up the first time, but his mind kept wondering to the week long mission Sinister was sending him on tomorrow. He couldn't help wondering why Sinister stressed so much importance to this mission. He probably jus' anxious to get dem to use in one of his experiments, Remy thought. He shook his head, he hated to think about that.

After he had showered and dressed he decided to pay Sinister a little visit. He had to get his plane tickets and information for tomorrow. He also hoped to find out why it was so important. He just assumed that it was like all the others he had been on, but why was it so important?

He walked down a long corridor leading to Sinister's lab, where Sinister spent almost every waking hour. He thought about just walking in, but that would just make Sinister mad at him, and he wanted to stay on his good side. He opted to knock.

"Come in," Sinister said in an almost demanding way.

Remy took a deep breath and pushed through the door. As soon as he stepped through the door his nose was assaulted with the smell of formaldehyde. The room was blinding white. He reached into the pocket of his trench coat, took out his sunglasses, and put them on to protect his red on black eyes, that made them very sensitive to light, but gave him excellent night vision. He spotted Sinister in the far corner of the lab hunched over one of the lab tables. As soon as Remy had gotten close enough to see Sinister pushed a button on the wall sending a curved panel out from the wall covering the table. Sinister turned his attention to Remy.

"Ah Gambit, how may I help you," Sinister said agitated that he had been interrupted.

"I came to get de information on de mission tomorrow," Remy said.

Sinister walked over to his desk, opened one of the drawers, and handed a manila folder to Remy.

Remy shuffled through it. "What exactly am I suppose to do?" Remy asked.

Sinister sighed. Your suppose to find a way through their security systems and into the house. I would also like you to get their medical records out of their computer. Think you can handle that?" Sinister asked impatiently.

Remy nodded his head.

"Good," Sinister said. "Now if you don't mind I'd like to get back to work."

With that Sinister turned and left without giving Remy a chance to answer. He stood there for a moment before doing the same.

Remy decided that there must be some more importance to capturing these people than just experiments. He just couldn't figure it out. He pushed it to the back of his mind, and returned to his room to pack.
