"Starcraft: Brood War continues the saga of galactic warfare as the Zerg, Protoss
and Terrans struggle for their continued survival. With the shattered Zerg hive torn
apart by fierce in-fighting, the Protoss seek to reunite with their Dark Templar brethren
and begin the rebuilding of their homeworld, Aiur. Terran Emperor Mengsk I, having
achieved his goal of total power over the human colonies, must now turn his attention
to both the rising power of the woman he betrayed-- Kerrigan, the infamous Zerg
Queen of Blades-- and a conspiracy deep within his own ranks."
The Brood War campaigns introduce a few new heroes and weave all the new tilesets and units into the story giving them meaning. I will not give you every detail of the campaigns because it's like telling you about a long drawn out movie that's really good and ruining the ending for you. All I can tell you is this...
The Protoss campaign focuses on getting rid of the Zerg that still plague their home world even after the heroic Tassadar sacrificed himself to rid the universe of the evil Overmind. You must banish the zerg from the Dark Templar home world of Shakuras.
The Terran campaign involves the UED. What's the UED? I will only tell you that Mensgk has something new to worry about. The presence of a new and powerful Terran force threatens the throne of Mengsk and his Dominion.
The Zerg campaign involves Kerrigan. What could she be up to? The campaign potrays Kerrigan's rise to power in the sector and the new Overmind that threatens her progress.
