The Man Behind The Bat

Alfred Pennyworth

What is this you say? Batman's Butler gets his own webpage? The answer is yes, but to simply call Alfred a butler is like saying Bruce Wayne is just a millionare. Both are much much more. We all know Bruce Wayne is Batman... But what else is Alfred? He's much more than a butler, he was the man who raised Bruce, the man who makes sure that he does take off that mask so he doesn't lose himself into the darkness, he's the man who makes sure he does eat something everyonce and a while, makes sure he squeezes in time for sleep and tends to his wounds after a rough night. Where would Bruce Wayne and Batman be with out Alfred? The answer is simple, they wouldn't be. Just as it was established that Batman needs Robin to keep him from becoming too dark, Batman need Alfred to make sure he keeps from becoming completly Batman. And THAT is why he gets a site.
