1. Show quicktime version of Edison`s "actuality" film of the Eiffel Tower.
2. Take up last day`s article summary question on Edison by first reading the text then summarizing in our own words.
3. If possible, view the Odessa Step Sequence from Battleship Potemkin to look for the number of camera`s used and the editing technique differences Eisenstein now used.
4. Read through the handout sheet on Battleship Potemkin, then students work on answering focus questions.
5. View the Chaplin Film "Our Times". Students are to make a list of 5 important scenes (F.O.E. focus on events), and then choose one they believe to be edited with multiple camera angles. In brackets try to remember three views the camera took.
