AIR CONDITIONING

Overall Benefits: Improved comfort during hot or humid weather; improved safety because the driver is more comfortable, alert and rested. Less noise, dust, dirt because the car windows can be kept closed when the air conditioner is operating. What's more, the air is filtered - dust and pollen removed - during the cooling process.

880 AND STANDARD-SIZE DODGE
Combination units built in with the heating system provide heating, defrosting, fresh air conditioning or recirculated air conditioning. Recirculated air conditioning provides quick cooling when starting out in a hot car in summer weather. Fresh air conditioning provides cooling comfort during normal driving, after the car interior reaches the desired temperature.

These air conditioners also provide two-stage dehumidifying action. The air is dehumidified when it is cooled and then the relative humidity is further reduced as the air is warmed up to the desired temperature.

Air is delivered through four adjustable outlets: two on top and two at the bottom of the instrument panel.

880 and Custom 880
Push-button operated with an air-temperature control lever. One push button for maximum cooling (recirculated air) and another for fresh-air cooling.

Standard-Size Dodge
Push-button operated with an air-temperature control lever and a blower switch. This switch provides maximum cooling (recirculated air) or fresh-air cooling.

DART

Air conditioner is an independent unit. It cools and recirculates the air within the car interior for maximum all-weather driving comfort.
