About Me 2003

Well we finally started racing, Sunday May 4th. Today was the first of the Burris Series. We had 95 entries for this race. In my class it was a two Kart field, I won heat 1, heat 2, and the feature. I received my first burris series plaque for the 2003 season.

despite the rain falling during our driver's meeting. When the rain stop we finished the driver's meeting and the dad's and some mom's went to dry the track in their vehicle's. We only ran one heat and a feature today. I took 1st in both, the feature was a close one the other kart gave me a run for my money. I had to keep my pedal to the metal.

Circleville ( it's about 20 min. past Columbus ) I raced with 4 alcohol engine kart's that race at Barberton and the other kart that I race with. I did good I placed 4th in both heat's and the feature.

I did really good today. I won both heat's and placed 2nd in the feature for the 2nd Burris Series race. I really wanted to give my dad a feature win for Father's Day. We'll get him next week.

I did really well today I got 2nd in both my heat's and won my feature. We have a week off, my mom is happy about that, Dad keep's on telling her that we can go some where else to race.

I did really good today I placed 2nd in heat 1 and won heat 2 and the feature. I have always dreamed of flagging a race and my dream came true today, they had a fun race, were some of the kids wanted to race an 17 year old boy ( so he ran his sister's kart) and I flagged the race, it was a 12 lap race. I had allot of fun. After the race everyone told me I did a good job.

We made our journey to Toledo Speedway. We left the house at 9:45 am and didn't return until 1:00 am. It was a good time, there was a 5 kart field. They had 2 practice secession's, we ran two heat's and a feature. Heat 1 I placed 3rd, Heat 2 I got 4th, and the feature Dad finally got the right gear in my kart and I got hit on the first lap sent me into a little tire and messed up the toe of the kart , I placed 3rd. They had a tech after the feature for the top 3 place's, but they teched the winner and he was (DQ) , so they had to tech the second place kart and he was found legal, so I placed 2nd and won $ 28.00 for my very first pay out. Dad and Mom split the money with me so I received $ 14.00. Back to Barberton next week. I would like to thank my Ma for coming up to Toledo to watch me.

Today we had our fourth Burris race at Barberton Speedway, it was a 4 kart field. Two boy's from Toledo came down. We ran two heat's and a feature I won both heat's and the feature. When I was going to the white flag (last lap) my kart was smoking out the rear right side. I think Mom and Dad were worried. I was able to get back around the track and take the win, coming off the track Dad looked at the kart to see what was wrong and my tire was hitting the gas tank. We got teched top two kart's for restrictor plates and we both past. The next Burris race will be in Sept. for a two day event. Next race is Aug. 3rd.

Heat 1 I was in second, made a move going to the checkered flag was in the lead to get spun out right before the checkered, so I placed second. Heat 2 I got into the lead and never looked back. It was feature time I started 2nd was running second for most of the race, made a move to take the lead and go onto to win the feature.

they found the problem and fixed it we were suppose to go out 3rd but ran last to get the other kart fixed. In the feature my kart started to do the same thing, so we need to call our engine guy to see what the problem is and get it fixed by Aug. 31

Well we were set to have a good day, we started to practice and my kart was now starting to have the same problem but now cutting out in the straight always. So thanks' to Bob for giving my Dad a part to fix it, It was allot better. Heat 1 I got second and Heat 2 I won. They were ready to start the feature's and we got a couple in and the rain started so they ended up calling it a night. SO this is how they figure out the out come of the feature's is how you line up. So that's why I got second place. Well get them next week to make it 10 feature win's.

I also had a buddy from school come and watch me. I'm still having trouble with my engine, so Dad is going to send it to Charlie (our engine guy) to see what he comes up with, he said he would get it up to par. Only 3 more weeks to go. Oh my Mom got her job at the track she will be up in the tower next year scoring the kart's.

I did really good today, I won both heat's and my feature. Only to be called a cheater by a so called friend. Here are the event's of the day, Someone came up to my Dad and said that we were cheating and that we were going to have our engine tore down after the race's. So after our feature we had a fuel tech I was found legal and the other kart that was protesting me was found illegal (alcohol was found in his gas) so the Dad of the other kart had two option's to drop the protest of my engine or be DQ (disqualified) so both kart's was not allowed to go back to there trailer's they had to stay by the tech guy's until he made his decision. He decided to drop the protest.

I placed 4th in the first heat, 2nd in the second heat and 5th in the feature, my kart got crashed in the feature a kart spun out and rolled into me and hit me in the right rear messed up a rim and pushed my axle just a bit and my brakes were rubbing into my rotor. They had a big party after the race's it was fun. When we got back to the hotel I wanted to go swimming and the pool was getting ready to close the girls at the front desk let me swim for 45 min. I also forgot to thank the Dodge's for letting me use their tire and rim.

I did really good today. We had a 5 kart field, I won the first heat, got 4th in the second heat and placed 3rd in the feature. No accident's today. Overall I placed second in the burris series. They had a cookout today and the award's today. We really had a good time. I also got my second pay out today it was $17.00 Mom and Dad let me keep this one.

Since we qualified today we only ran a feature. We started the feature with a 2 kart field, the other kart ran into me and stop until turn 4 when he spun me out and put us both in the infield. We got turned around and got the green and I set sail, went on to win my 11 feature and make it a total of 31 wins for the season. I also got a medal that say's fastest qualifier, but lost it, so Jeff is going to get me another one.

Today was the first night race of the season, and also the Bob Nervo memorial race we received plaque's for the top 3 spot's in the feature's. We ran 2 heat's and a feature I came in first in all. It was a long day. May 31, 2003 was rained out , and will race on Sept. 20, 2003. With Toledo being rained out the dad's had the racing fever, so they found a track called Circleville ( it's about 20 min. past Columbus ) I raced with 4 alcohol engine kart's that race at Barberton and the other kart that I race with. I did good I placed 4th in both heat's and the feature. June 8, 2003 I did good today. I won both heat's and the feature. The other kart gave me a run for my money today. June 15, 2003 I did really good today. I won both heat's and placed 2nd in the feature for the 2nd Burris Series race. I really wanted to give my dad a feature win for Father's Day. We'll get him next week. June 22, 2003 I did really well today I got 2nd in both my heat's and won my feature. We have a week off, my mom is happy about that, Dad keep's on telling her that we can go some where else to race. We'll be back and ready to win them all on the 6th of July. July 6,2003 I did really good today I placed 2nd in heat 1 and won heat 2 and the feature. I won the second heat and the feature. The other kart was having trouble with his engine in the second heat, so during the intermission they found the problem and fixed it we were suppose to go out 3rd but ran last to get the other kart fixed. In the feature my kart started to do the same thing, so we need to call our engine guy to see what the problem is and get it fixed by Aug. 31 Aug. 24 Were off see you back on Aug. 31 for our second night race. Aug. 31 Well we were set to have a good day, we started to practice and my kart was now starting to have the same problem but now cutting out in the straight always.
