The Slicer, being pounded on by a hundred guns, suffers horrendous damage. Acting as a shield, it allows the Voy to penetrate the impenetrable. Just hang in there a little bit longer.. just a little bit longer.. With an agonized sub-ethereal scream, fragments of the Slicer's superstructure gets blown off and tumble past the much smaller Voyager. Yet, still, the battered ship presses on..

The Emperor, seeing the vain efforts of the earth's defenders against his fleet, can only sneer with the inevitability of his victory. Yet, waiting here while the fools attack is beneath him. With order restored to his fleet, he commands a task force to assemble. Composed of the fastest sublight ships in the fleet, they dispatch in the direction opposite of the enemy's futile attacks. In moments, looping at great speed around the planet Neptune, the 20 Nebulon-scale fast attack cutters and their fighter escorts head straight for the interdictor. Once they succeed, the Emperor's fleet can just ignore these pathetic fools and hyper straight for Earth orbit. That planet WILL BE SLAG!!

The lower the odds, the higher the honor. Helm, screw the relativity safeties, if we can't take the blasts we'll outrun them. Push us to max impulse.

*as the fleet arrives it pounds the ships with a fire linked barage of pulse fire, one by one they begin to explode just as their fate is almost sealed the last 4 ships fire off and kill 2 cruisers, the HGS Nasty Pastie and the HGS Fiendish Fritter...They quickly pay for their attack and are vapourised by a torrent of the Blue Peas heavy cannons*

*consoles explode* Open a channel to the _Slicer_! And tell me why the consoles are exploding! We haven't even been hit yet! *"Channel open sir."* C-Stan, Bet you never thought you'd be dying for me ever since that shopping cart incedent. Well, neither did I, so back away! I'm not gonna let you collect any kind of life debt on me!

As the 600-odd capital ships in various conditions remaining to his fleet vastly outnumber and outgun the attacking fleet, the Emperor feels confident in his security. With battle still raging in the perimeter, he arrogantly commands the fleet to begin moving in-system. At sublight, even if the Interdictor were not destroyed, the slowly moving fleet formation shall reach Earth within 2 days. And if the interdiction field were do vanish? So much the better...

*the fighters are still determined to kill the interdictor, their bombers prepare to open a up when squadrons of Bug Fighters move in formation and begin to shoot them out of existance, they return fire and 97 of the remaining 690 fighters perish, but not invain, the interdictor is safe again...*

Losing his patience, the Emperor orders the fleet formation to turn change directions. Ponderously, the ships move in unison, still embroiled in battle. Slowly, the entire spherical formation moves towards the interdictor...

*Captain Woodlouse moves out toward an aproaching Xanarious cruiser group, outnumbered 2 to 1 he sets his ships on evasive, pulse weapons twang past the ships as they head toward each other, every now and again one hits but is quickly repaired as no other shots open the wound, then they are in the fray, 10 against 20, they swish past each other and loop over to engage again, although the Xanarious ships are faster, they are less well trained and their shots frequently go wild... But even so, they outnumber the Woodlouse vessels and begin to fire on target, the HGS Infernal Ratbag is the first to go, then the HGS Rollover Jackpot, then the HGS Roland Rat and the HGS Creamy Aligator... these deaths cause rage in the Captain who quickly takes up the pilot possition and fires with such accuracy and moves with such grace as to make it look almost like sport, he fires again and again each time dead on target, the Xanarious realise that taking on the finest pilot in House Woodlouse was perhaps a bad idea, the remaining Xanarious group returns to the main fleet for protection against this wild Captain...*
