*SLURP* AARRRRRGGGGGGG!! Wha...wha...whats that?!?! *an officer standing
by him speaks "Sir, its one of them spider things" looking at the spider
you can clearly spot a similar look of shock on its tiny robotic face*
Well get the damn thing off my tea cup will you!!! *"Yes Sir, at once"
the officer picks the spider up and places it on some electronic equipment
where it sets to work on some task* Right, next time someone makes my cuppa,

What?! Oh, s***! We're too close to turn around! COMPUTER! Gimme
that manual control joystick thing! *a flightsick pops up in the middle
of the bridge, nowhere near any of the seats.* What stupid engineer would
put a joystick THERE of all places? *walks up to it and starts pushing
it around to avoid the incoming blasts* We just need to get in atmosphere.
Then they won't be able to see us either....

Suddenly, an explosion blossoms below the surface of the spere....followed
by several more as enormous pieces of shrapnel penetrate the hulls of the
weaker ships inside the perimeter. Escaping from the wreckage, 5 particular
fragments speed away, their linked-repulsorlift engines effective in the
limited atmosphere shielding the enemy vessels. Secondary explosions begin
to blossom as the 5 small ships, revealed to be Scimitar II bombers presumably
carried on the outer TIE racks of the Carrack fire-ship, launch their nonstandard
proton torpedo ordinance at disabled vessels. The density of the ships
make it difficult at first for the ships to destroy the offending fighters,
but they attempt to do so...and are attacked from behind by the rest of
the stealthed fighter squadron.Too soon, however, the enemy begins to regroup,
but the damage has been done. The shielded Thrawn-era bombers do surprisingly
well, and only three are destroyed before the bombers manage to return
to the relative safety of the _Insufficiently Reluctant_. Moving closer
to the milling and uncertain victims of the assault, the SSD slices through
the fighter cover with the help of its Lancer escort...and then retreats...the
purpose is not to destroy, but to confuse as long as neccesary...and to
provide a distraction for TDK's vulnerable starship to either pull out
or continue to the core of the sphere...

Officer : Captain, the enemy has regrouped into a new formation.
Cyborg Stan : Can TDK get through? The Emperor MUST be neutralized. Officer
: At the current situation.... there's a 99.9% chance that he'd be blown
up before he could even get close. Cyborg Stan : Heh. That's not too bad.
Officer : Y-Yes it is. I already factored in the main-character luck forces.
Without it, it would be a 1 in 10^65 shot. Cyborg Stan : DAMN! Well, there
must be some way around this... OFFICER! Officer : Yes? Cyborg Stan : Order
the Voyager directly behind us! Reactors at overload! All power to engines
and forwards shields! RAMMING SPEED! *Cyborg's fighters begin regrouping,
The Quicksilvers charge to the spot at which the _Slicer_ was going to
ram... distracting their eyes for a moment, it gives the _Slicer_ a precious,
fire-free moment. Then a shot hit. Followed by a hundred more. The _Slicer_
begins an agnozied turn, bearing it's engines and rear turrets. Occupied
with the enormous battleship before it, they didn't notice the small ship
that slipped out from behind it. Furiously firing into the enemy formations
still, the _Slicer_ appeared to be lost...*

As more and more ships become aware of the Voyager's presence (not
helped any by the crazed swirling hologram of the Tazmanian Devil), the
tracking saturation fire increases until there is nowhere to maneuver.
The space all around the Voy is filled with canon fire. Even the shots
that miss ionize the gas cloud, causing deterioration of the Voy's shields.
Not being a (total) fool, the Klingon turns about, heeding the Cyborg's
call, and uses its speed advantage to escape out of the obscuring gas cloud.
As the Voy exits, fighters take potshots at it before returning to the
safe perimeter. With the shields glowing an angry red, the Voy quickly
takes position behind the rapidly approaching Slicer.
