*Duker decloaks his ship as he emerges from a wormwhole. Activates the comm and sends a general message...* Uchhh humm...hello???...Is this thing worki...*Gets a loud feedback* Umm...what exactly happened here. I leave for a little while and everybody thinks they can just go kill everybody with a war. I really don't see the point of all this, but if it must happen...*wispers out of the side of his mouth* Which side is winning so I can join it. I'm just dying to try out my new weapon I have been working on. It creates a doorway that allows little gnomes to visit our galaxy to cause unholy hell on the enemies technology.

*Looking around his new BoP* Wonderful. Now all it needs is a name and a crew. *A spider speaks up: "We have the crew taken care of." A closet opens up and several human-sized mechanical skeletons walk out and man the controls, and so the skeletons in the closet become a skeleton crew for the undead Klingon's Bird of Prey. (Awful-y punny, aren't I?)* Cool. And I will name it the "ghaytanHa'".

Hmmm, because woodlice have trouble speaking Klingon they have decided they shall call the BoP "Geoffrey"...

In a large discarded metal suitcase marked "Magic Plot Reset Button Technologies, Inc.", there is a box-shaped depression in the moulded shock absorbent foam padding. The Genesis Device it used to contain is now in a partially disassembled state in Leroy's workshop. For days, everything seems inert. Then a hole a millimeter in diameter is cut through the top layer of padding. A pair of tiny ruby eyes peek out.. Seeing that all is clear, a newly assembled Class 5b Scavenger hops out.. followed by a few dozen more. The size of a letter 'O' in a typical printed page, these simplified non-sentient micro-spiders go about searching for the critical raw material to proceed on the next phase of its inbuilt Basic Survival programming. Spreading out under the cover of shadows and miscelaneous junk, they scour the Jolly Roger's cargo hold for vital supplies, and gather what they can carry back to the suitcase. The suitcase's extensive security electronics had been gutted by the Class5D Precursor Emergency Survival Reflex nano from the 'teardrop'. (Size of bacteria) As more material is brought back to the suitcase, it seems that it couldn't possibly contain the scraps of insulation, bits of techno-junk, shreds of plastic and whatnot that the scavengers have harvested. Which is true. The suitcase is empty. In it's bottom, covered by the foam padding, is a tiny hole burrowed into the deck. This entrance branches out inside the Jolly Roger's ship systems, resembling a termite colony in both structure and feverish activity. In a small space between pipes, the first Class 5 Arbeiter has been assembled. With a start, it 'wakes up'. Until now, all the activity of the lower level Class 5s were instinctive survival programming, with *zero* sentience. The new Arbeiter, colloquially named 'chrome spider', only semi-intelligent by itself, attempts to log onto the spider-net... and succeeds. With log-on, it has become part of the distributed spider-net hive-mind, and becomes sentient.
