'DAMN!' came the uncharacteristic voice of an irritated android.
This was the third time Mel had tried to contact Elisia since her escape
and... nothing. All he got was an annoying buzz as if he were trying to
access background radiation. Finally, cursing reality and the extremes
it drove it's inhabitants to sometimes, he activated the ship and turned
on the sensors. It was plainly obvious what had happened to her. Transducer
shock. Neural overload from channeling too much power. She could be saved,
but barely, and only if he moved quickly. Unfortunately, the security alert
had brought Vulcans down to the deck in droves, guarding her only means
of escape. Mel was at a loss as to what to do, but he had to get her in
a regeneration chamber quick or else risk losing his only companion in
this foresaken universe...

The Far Star wasn't equipped with weapons. Infinity Tech had seen
to that. The risk of technological contamination was everpresent and the
last thing Infinity wanted was to be victums to their own weapons fallen
into bad hands. That's why techno-recon teams were to rely on more clandestine
methods of gaining information than outright extortion. Mel wished that
that policy hadn't happend. What he wouldn't give for a good anti-gluon
beam right about then... Then, inspiration struck him. The activated Far
Star rotated, bringing it's forward axis to facing the shuttlebay exit
hatch. Then, the deflector beam activated. Normally designed to repel space
debris, it would function in this case to warp the doors of the shuttlebay,
and, withing a few minutes time, exposing it to vacuum when the structure
gave way. The Vulcan's seeing this immediately, evacuated the deck, attempting
to circumvent the environmental disaster from a distance. Once the deck
was clear, Mel sctivated the gangplank and ran down, rushing toward Elisia's
coordinates.

She was in a heap in the floor, her limbs twitching, electrical
arcs occasionally skittering across the perspired skin. She had used a
cargo lift to get down, so no Vulcans saw her as they had evacuated. Dimly,
she could hear the fading hiss of the air being leached off the deck. 'Why
would they be doing that,' she wondered, as a face appeared before her.
It was kind, it was concerned, it was her... she lost consciousness...

Mel reached Elisia, hearing the fading hiss of the air being pumped
off the deck. The Vulcans, fearing the worst, were trying to save their
air from being blasted out. Wise thinking, he thought, but it complicates
by mission. Reaching Elisia, he noticed the strange look on her face as
she finally lost consciousness. Picking her up, he moved quickly, not wanting
to expose her to vacuum when the shuttle deck blew. It finally went as
they entered the shuttlebay. The doors did a strange buckling, and, suddenly,
space rushed in. Forming a protective bubble, Mel tried to enclose Elisia
in a pocket of air. Letting the rushing air push them a ways, he extruded
a pseudotentacle out, lashing against the gangplank of the Far Star, holding
fast. The rushing died, silent vacuum taking it's place. The surface of
Mel's body began to crack from the sudden pressure/temperature change,
and he knew he needed to move quickly. Pulling fast, he hurled them both
onto the inner deck, protected from the vacuum by a force field, and reformed
as himself. Quickly putting Elisia on full life support, Mel lunged into
the computer interface and piloted the ship out of the bay. Getting behind
the impulse exhaust of the Crucible, Mel tuned the shields of the Far Star
to the Vulcan's, passing straight through like a ghost. Ignoring the hails
to cease and desist, Mel prepared to activate the transluminal corridor,
when suddenly...

*Tapes his head back in place* Ahhh, much better. *It immediately
falls over backwards after taking a step.* ghuy'cha'! He suddenly sees
what looks like a bright green star near the position of the rest of the
orbiting fleet. It certainly didn't look familiar, so he picked his head
back up and walked to the ghaytanHa'.* Hey, could someone here check out
that green spot up buy the fleet? And sombody get me a neck brace. *He
tapes his head back on again, and this time, braces it. One of the skeletons
disgused as a Klingon reports: "It appears to be a Romulan Warbird sir.
What shall we do to it?"* Romulans? Isn't the answer obvious? We kill 'em.
Get this ship off the ground and prepare for battle.

*Upon seeing the BoP take off, several party guests begin to run
after it trying to catch up to what they think is the only supply of bloodwine
left. The are calmed down as soon as they seen another barrel open up however.*
Engage the cloaking device. Give me a full report on the Warbird's status.
*"They just appear to be sitting there, master. Their shields are down
and weapons are online. Apparently they are not expecting any resistance,
but are otherwise prepared to shoot something."* Good. As soon as we are
in range drop the cloak. *TDK hits a button on his armrest and what looks
like a periscope comes down to his face.* You will pay dearly for your
overconfidence Romulans. *He targets the bridge.*

The ship rocked. Erisai looked up in shock and anger, and growled
a query in Romulan to the communicator. The reply was filled with static,
and was not optimistic. The other ships were out of range of the Klingon
ship, as they were arrayed to defend against attacks from above, not below.
Shields were malfunctioning, cloak not working, and the ship was in general
taking a heavy beating...but giving back as good as she got. It wouldn't
be enough though...with shields, the Warbird would be more than a match
for the automated Klingon ship. However, they hadn't reckoned Erisai into
the equation. The vice-admiral closed her eyes and sent the Klingon ship
spinning into the Earth's atmosphere...delaying certain destruction long
enough to get the cloak back online....but just as Erisai was beginning
to relax, the control panel of the cell exploded and Jadesfire force-pulled
Erisai's own saber into her hand....and closed in....

*The ghaytanHa' spins back down to the Earth hitting hard against
the atmosphere. Thankfully, the ship was designed to handle the force of
re-entry. It took some time, but the skeletons managed to rgain control
before crashing down.* ARRGGGHHH!!! Get us back up there!! I don't appreciate
Romulans crashing my parties!

'Mayday! Mayday! EDA Vessel designation *ghaytanHa* under assault
from Romulan vessel at alpha-one - zero - niner- xray - two - seven - one
- yankee - three - eight - seven. Request backup over!' - *from a spider
who just finished watching one of TDK's tapes titled - 'Convoy'* 'By Your
Command, Hong Kong Battery Responding To Request' *Unable to lock onto
the rapidly cloaking Romulan Warbird, the HVIC battery fired blind, relying
on the relayed coordinates. By sheer luck, (as the Warbird hadn't moved
much) the high velocity idiot grazed one of the warp nacelles, causing
the hull at that area to rupture and leak plasma. The Warbird rocked savagely
from the impact. It's cloak now rendered partially ineffective due to the
plasma leak, begins to show on Imperial Garrison sensors sending telemetry
to the HVIC batteries. Almost in unison, Punjab, Tokyo and Manila Batteries
swing to to target the Warbird...

Duker looks up at his view screen and sees an idiot fly by his ship
at a great speed. Duker: "What the..." Duker looks at the sensor logs and
smacks his head for not seeing it sooner. A Romulan ship was orbiting Earth.
Littlefoot: "Sir, the ghaytanHa is under attack from the Romulan ship."
Duker: "Intercept the Warbird and when in range, decloak the ship and fire
at the engines, but do not destroy them." "Yes Sir." The Instigator decloaks
right behind the Romulan ship and fires four bursts from the phasers at
the engines. The Romulan ship rocks and one of the nacelles begins to leak
radiation severely. As soon as the Instigator fired the four shots, the
ship recloaked and started to turn around for another pass.
