*There was a solution, of course. Unfortunately, the ghaytanHa' (There is an apostrophy at the end there.) was within the live of fire of the U.S. HVIC batteries. Then the engine imploded. After the rumbling was over the ghaytanHa' had been knocked off course. It was enough and the Skeleton's Chrome Spider crew immediately sent a message back through the Spidernet. "Fire Los Angeles, San Fransisco, New York, Dallas, and Miami batteries."*

The Warbirds returned fire, quickly overloading the makeshift shield, whose effectiveness had decreased as their fruit component had degenerated, and began to systematically obliterate the HVIC batteries...taking a few hits but managing to evade or shoot down most of the incoming idiots once their source points had been determined....

OK! everyone up, we're going to attempt to fly this ship! *runs to her parked ship and turns on the comm, and sends TDK's message to the rest of the EDA. She then goes back outside to yell at her crew, who weren't getting up. Pulling a blaster she fires it into the air* I said GET UP! Now, ummm, is anyone not drunk? *three people raise thier hands: the second-in-command, some crewer who had been on the ship the whole time, and a stormtrooper who had accedentaly locked himself in a room* Good news, you three get to fly the ship....*the Still_Unnamed rises a little shakeily off the ground, heading out to space to see if there is anything they can do*

Thank you! Mel thought as the Romulan vessels disengaged. He had watched, helplessly, as Jadesfire/Elisia maneuvered the ship away and around the various tractor beams. For some reason, they wanted the Far Star. As far as Mel was concerned, that was reason enough to deny it to them. As the Romulans left, however, other EDA vessels surrounded the Far Star, demanding some answers for finally ending the party....

As more or less 'friendly' vessels surrounded the Far Star, Mel rose, watching as Jadesfire/Elisia still held the ship in their thrall. 'I'm going to assess damage on the medunit.' he lied as he went directly behind her. Taking a gamble, he tried to inject a tranquilizer into Elisia, moving at speeds no organic or cybernetic being could achieve. Still, Elisia's hand stopped him. 'Nice try, Android, but you have no comprehension of the powers I now possess. I shall show you the cost of your insolence...' Slowly, painfully, Mel stood, frozen, as the dark power possessing his friend unleashed itself. He could feel the bonds between his molecular components destabilizing. Attempting, futilly to rally against it, he melted, losing cohesion. Though he didn't possess pain receptors in his body, he nonetheless screamed, the last sight before his external sensors collapsed from the catastrophic failure was a smile, a rictus of malevolent intent...

NOOOOO!! screamed Elisia within her mind as she watched her friend melt before her eyes. Feeling the horrible smile on her face, Elisia, with all the force of her will, pushed against the intruder. Momentarily shaken, Jadesfire ceased her onslaught, just short of killing Mel. Ordering the ships nanos to place his comatose remains in a stasis chamber for the time being, Jadesfire thought 'This one will have to be dealt with...'

*TDK thought for a moment. A memory had just returned to him. In his last few moments in sto-vo-kor just before The Unforgetable had kicked him out he had been given something. A knife which he had placed under his vest for safe keeping. He pulled out the small red blade and remembered its purpose. It was his ticket back to sto-vo-kor. The only weapon on the mortal plane capable of dispatching undead. There was only one charge in it, after which it would dissapear. He may be banned from sto-vo-kor forever by using it on Jadesfire, but at least his friends would be safe. He replaced the blade and thought to himself. "Yes, she will need to meet The Unforgetable."*
