*The Field Marshal smiles as the news of the new alliance with the Empire comes through his communication console* Excellent, we have a powerful allie! *The Zahh'Nothi Field Marshal to his side nods, but responds with "Yes, they shall be a great aid to us, but one must be weary of them, if they manage to resurect the Emperor the earth could be blown to oblivion."* Yes... And thus we must make sure they never do resurect the Emperor, as long as he remains dead the Empire will have reason and sense, sense enough to be our allie. *"Let us prey that we are successful, and that the Empire is sufficient to overcome our enemys the Xanarious"* Indeed, things are definatly not over yet, we have a long fight ahead...

Okay, people, let's get this bird flying, shall we? Conn, pull us away from the _Still Unnamed_. Make you best guess as to how, I have no idea how we managed to fit in the first place. Once we're clear get me a fix on that last remaining Warbird. *The ghaytanHa' finally unlocked all its systems and moved out from the _Still Unnamed_'s hangar, only this time with a lot more than just the skeleton crew and three lunatics on board.*

Mel watched as Elisia's eyes fluttered. This was a trick as all lighting was out. He was functioning on infrared only at the moment, as most of the Far Star's power systems were on the fritz. The Zero Point gravitic field tech that powered the ship was, for some reason, nullified. Slowly, it was turning back on, but it was a slow process... Mel had decided to awaken Elisia to check her mental condition, with controls wired to suppress her at the first sign of mentalic activity. 'How do you feel, sister?' Mel asked, with a concerned lilt in his voice. 'Like I just crawled out of one of the more pestilential levels of Hell, but otherwise OK. She's gone, by the way. I don't know how, or where she is now, but I don't feel her anymore...' Hmmm, interesting, Mel thought. Probably to do with the Improbability field. Deciding that things might be getting better now, Mel helped Elisia to her feet and led her to bed, so she could sleep through the remainder of her recovery. Coming back, Mel noticed that enough power had been restored to allow sensors again, so he turned them on the immediate area...

Mel was in chaos. The 'copy' in the Spidernet was going through conflict, as various nodes went inexplicably offline, as Marissa consumed more and more zero point energy. This would have to stop, of course, but Mel left that in the hands of the corporeal beings. His business was to simply move his mind off this ship. Linking with TDK's vessel, he downloaded the central processing emulators and active consciousness modules into those spiders who were leaving. Once there, he would try to contact his 'brother', and decide on a course of action...

Marissa awakened, weak, humiliated, and seriously pissed off. Obviously things were different here. The residents were plot savvy, weaving details and rationalizations that had seriously weakened her. This isn't the Ratliff universe, she reminded herself. Subtlety would be required. Giving DC a good swift kick in the crotch for no other reason than she could, Marissa skulked off into the dark, to plot, to hide, to return at a more oppurtune time. An improbability flux later, she was gone...

*Prowling around the Interdictor Stuffy is disheartened that the evil she has been sent to fight is no longer present, so she decided to pay a visit to the canteen. She enters to find a man who appears to have exploded...* Eew! Thats like fully icky! *She walks over to where the food would normaly be dispensed and checks the menu...* Hmmm, I dont like that... no, thats disgusting.... Eew, salad! There is no KFC on this ship, what where they thinking?! *From behind a counter one of the kitchen staff pops up, Stuffy immediatly places a sharp peice of metal against his neck... "Hey, I only work here!"* Oh, Ok then... Why aint there any KFC on this ship? *"Captain Savannah never did like KFC, she said it made her ill"* Ahha! So she is this devil being I have come to fight? *"Wha... Oh, no, thats Marissa."* So, this Savannah is her henchwoman? *"Er, no, not at all"* Dammit, she doesent like KFC, there must be something satanic about her! Like totaly... *"No, as far as I know she isent evil in the slightest, damn sight better than that idiot Captain we hd before... "* Wow! Like she is like this totaly nice person, and she doesent like KFC? Thats like against the laws of nature! Totaly... *"Why do you keep saying totaly?"* I'm not, its like totaly in your mind... *"Well, allright, I'll be off then"* OK, see ya dude! *Stuffy waits for the man to leave the room* Wow, Hoo-Mans are like totaly weird and everything, and they smell just as bad as everyone says...

*The Baron moves up to the admiral in charge of the Imperial taskforce and begins to speak* Ah, I think you should know about the primary system of the resistance, at the world of Zahhniki you shall find the command hierarchy of the resistance forces, you might want to think about making contact with them, so you can combine your strategys and attack plans. *The Baron hands over system coordinates*

Meanwhile, aboard the Vulcan mobile spacedock, with the recovery of the inhabitants, negotiations had resumed. "We welcome allies,"Admiral Skarak was saying, "especially against the Empire, who it seems have suddenly become more aggressive than usual. We have confirmed reports that they attempted to destroy the surface of the class-M planet in this system, and our people have also come under unprovoked attack. So far " (counting off on his fingers) " they have tried to steal one of our ships, made a futile demand that we turn other ships over to their control, stolen an orbital scientific facility, and begun attacking our science vessels in interstellar space. For example, we have report that one of our science vessels, the light cruiser _Cyclotron_, was unexpectedly attacked by 5 of their 'Star Destroyers' while engaged in an experiment. To Captain Starn's credit, rather then react in kind to their belligerence, he chose to withdraw. A formal protest has been sent to their government, but we have yet to recieve any satisfactory reply, let alone any indication of willingness to return the stolen property. Thus, it looks like they are set on making war." Taking a drink from a glass of water, Skarak continued: "Therefore the Vulcan High Council has formally authorized me to arrange alliances with any species for whom this so-called 'Empire' is a mutual enemy. One detail we do need to clear up first though: What is the basis for your claim over the Sol system?"

While the Vulcan and Romulan technicians had been unconscious, a holographic "backup crew" had taken their place, so and repairs on Erisai's Warbird had continued almost uninterrupted. Some modifications had been made, though, as S'Pannar explained to the chief Romulan technician: "Some details you should know: in the course of our repairs we have increased the efficiency of yout ship's Warp coils by around 50%, so you should be able to maintain high warp for twice as long as before. Also, we have added some probe-launch racks, and 50 of our class-2 Remote Probes. They will take orders from your ship's main computer, and are pre-programmed with several functions: they can serve as fighters, or as subspace relay beacons, or can be sent on long-range missions to collect data. Each has a phaser array, a tractor beam, grappling hooks, long-range subspace radio, and a scanner-range of 15 ly. They can maintain Warp 9.95 for up to 16 hours at need. Just tell them in basic terms what you want done, and they will simply get on with it without need for further direction."

*DC awoke very suddenly when he realised that somebody's foot had just been placed between hs legs with great force. Not to mention the blistering headache he got from a combination of smashing a wall, being strangled and then a high speed crash with the ground. Conveniently enough this was exaclty the entry he had written under "pain" in "Dark Commie's Esential Guide to the Annoyance Known as the English Language." He say Marissa quickly dissapear into the shadows nearby and renewed his vow to show her what true evil was before he killed her. Then he felt the ship's engines kick in. TDK was back and Scorpion would be too, and knowing how difficult it was to land this thing last time there would be at least one spider on board, flying. More importantly, Marissa was trapped here. Even the biggest, most annoying, prodigy on the face of the Universe would have trouble escaping now. {insert evil grin here}*
