*The unknown prisoner sits in his cell. Still curious how he ended
up in this world. Furthermore, considering the chaotic violence he knew
was here, he wondered if he would even survive it.

... He heard one of the guards patrolling outside and decided he
would at least try to get in the good graces of these lunatics.* Guard!
I need to speak to Lor- I mean Field Marshall Woodlouse! *Guard: "Shut
up prisoner!"* I HAVE a name you know! *Guard: "Yeah, and you know what?
So do I."* No you don't! You're an extra here just to make the plot move
along smoothly. Your sole pupose in this world is to get information about
me to the main characters so that I can get out of here! *Guard: "What're
you talking about? I have a name!"* Yeah? What is it? *There is a long
pause as the guard thinks* I thought so. Until a main character gives you
a name you're about as likely to be shot right between the eyes by a weapon
malfunction down the hall where the other guards as you are to go back
to your bunk and get a good night's sleep tonight. *There is a clatter
at the end of the hall and then the sound of a stormtrooper rifle going
off. Shortly afterward the guard slumps to the ground dead.* Dammit I forgot
about that damned improbability field!

Outsystem from Yahnorni, a Yah'Noik cruiser appears from QWF. Trailing
smoke and radioactive plumes, it's drive firing eratically, it made dangerous
speed towards the the homeworld. Broadcasting on the military attack frequency,
the static filled signal screamed for assistance. "zzzzztt!! ..mand Base!
Re**est ass**tance!! Empire ambush at *ect*r 1*53. Escap*d from ***et!
*mpi*e attac** Base Nimrod!! Repe** reque** **sistan**!!" Appearing far
behind and to either side, a pair of Empire ISDs emerged from hyperspace
and immediately fired longrange heavy TL while jamming the signal. The
Yah'Noik cruiser, obviously heavily damaged, attempted to make evasive
maneuvers. Then, a massive fireball erupted from it's rear engine quadrant.
It began veering off course. Broadcast from the 2 ISDs: Yahnori Command
Base! We detect the launch of cruisers towards our location. Desist from
interference and you will be destroyed. The ship we pursue was in violation
of Empire space and contains stolen equipment rightfully the property of
the Empire. We claim jurisdiction. You have been warned. Do not approach
or you will be classed as hostile and be eliminated!"

The Previously Aforementioned slowly crept toward the Obsidian Claw.
As it neared the hull hugging shields, the Aforementioned set it's shields
in an interference pattern to negate them. It docked, using onboard nanotech
to solidify it's connection. Now, attacheed like a malignancy, the ship
began to work, knowing it had already set off numerous alarms on the vessel,
the shipmind sent out the Neutralizers to deal with any organic threats...

The design was deceptive. Overly cute, they were pink, round, with
large optical input nodes. Normally they walked, though they possessed
antigravs for limited flight. Their functions were simple, easy to manufacture.
They had two main defenses. Their vocal processors were programmed with
a sonic combination that, as far as all indications and tests had proven,
could activate the sleep centers of any organic brain, neutralizing any
threats. They made good guards and excellent retrievers. The Aforementioned's
nanos converted the Obsidian Claw's matter into these units, to guard the
ship and capture Marissa for 'disposal'. As they came online, they emitted
their only word, bobbing off toward their duties, named for the creature
from which they were inspired... 'Jigglypuff, Jigglypuff, Jigglypuff...'

*The Count was shocked... but he still decided that his defensive
fleet was capable of dealing with two ISDs... His ships though probably
just under half the firepower of an ISD where in the superiority of numbers...
20 cruisers would crush them... and with a CommandBase he felt pretty damned
secure. He opened the hail.* Imperial ships, your vessels are enemys of
the Imperium and will be destroyed if they do not surrender immediatly,
this is territory of the Imperium and it is known that you are allied with
loyalists of the Kingdom! *An officer next to the Count fidgets, most Yah'Noik
feel traitorous for fighting their brethren in the Kingdom... even fighting
an allie of them seems like a filthy thing to do. But the Count never seemed
to have any problem working for the new administration... perhaps it was
something to do with the aristocracy. The officer grimaced as the Count
gave the order to mobilse the Xanarious cruiser that where in orbit (since
the Yah'Noik ones where now being used for recon for the Xanarious), the
officer flinched as he noticed the order to launch a fighter escort...*

*Meanwhile... on the CommandBase at Zahhniki, House Woodlouse and
Zahh'Nothi personel rush around with reports on different fronts of the
war. But in Lord Woodlouse's personal chambers...* Dumdeedum... *Lord Montgomery
Woodlouse sits in a chair, a very large and comfy chair. In front of him
is a holoscreen... a very large and top of the range holoscreen. On it
is the "Homesystem Shopping Network"* Oh yeah... I gotta have one of those!
*A butter spreader apears on screen, it flicks some butter on a nearby
wall and everyone on the holoscreen claps in amazement* Wow, that would
help me no end! *A creamy aligator toy appears on the screen* Wooo, think
of the things I could do with that! *The screen flickers and a war report
appears on screen* ACK! Boring... *Montgomery turns over but the same report
is on screen* Dammit! *Montgomery turns off the holoscreen and lights a
cigar* Ah... being a Lord is great!

They were ready. It had been a long time finding the resources neccesary
to continue the fight, but they were ready. More than ready. The enemy
was fragmented, thinking them long gone, but the Swarm could never die....and
it began to move towards the closest convenient target, the Obsidian Claw....

[mutters to himself... 'all these blokes going after the Obsidian
Claw... Do they even *know* where the Claw *IS*? NO! Yet does that stop
them? Do red traffic lights stop lunatics behind the wheel? Or Surgeon
General warnings stop walking smokestacks? Gahh... Press on, bucko, press
on... ' Now back to your regularly scheduled mayhem...

The 2 ISDs rushed in towards their quarry, the Yah'Noik cruiser
now staggering about like a crazed stepped-on roach. (which it incidentally
resembled) Drawing close, it latched on tractor beams and locked on. Dragging
their prize, their engines flaring brightly, they drag it slowly towards
the edge of the system..
