A bit about myself

Likes: Snowboarding, cars, playing the guitar...

Pet Hates:Playing soccer in boiling hot, or freezing cold weather.

I have just finished a four year honours BTech(Information Technology) degree at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Fours years at Uni has been fun, but I am glad to be getting out into the real world. While you're at Uni, it's like being on an extended vacation, with occasional bursts of work. While it is good fun and you learn a lot, it is'nt much fun having limited funds.

During my last year I was able to work at Fisher & Paykel NZ, in their Refrigeration Division, aiding in the development of a division intranet.snowboarding. I tried snowboarding at the end of last season, and I am now hooked. It was just so much fun. As of March 98 I have been working for ASB BANK as a Systems Analyst/ Analyst Programmer. During the first 2 months of employment I have been working in the banks branch network to get an understanding of the systems and manual processes that are used.

After this period I am going to Systems Development for a few weeks, then hopefully onto Project Office, where all the project management work is done. From here I will be going to Business Banking then back to Systems Development where I will be based. I am currently on the ASB Graduate program and have thouroughly enjoyed it so far, and have learned a lot. I recommend ASB BANK to others as an excellent employer, who takes care of their staff.
