Snowboarding


I only just started boarding last season, and got hooked straight away. The '98 season should be starting in late June at Ruapehu, providing it doesn't erupt! I picked up an Oneil boarding jacket and Columbia pants at the end of last season. I recently acquired a Generics 159 snowboard with bindings from a fellow boarder and good friend. I picked up some Eloura gloves this week, for a great price from City Snowboards in Newmarket. Now all that remains are boots, and the ensemble is complete. Since the Snow Show is coming up this weekend at Ellerslie I hope to get some there.

The whakapapa ski fields have a web site showing up to date pictures of the mountain, which should be started as soon as some snow appears.
