The streets are alive with the sound of Mazdas.

Most of you know the feeling. Cruising along a suburban street on a summer Sunday, sound system up, suspension down, lesser-lifes all around in their uninteresting moblie chicanes, feeling good with the only worry being a defect notice for looking too cool. Then theres the distance rumble - the rumble before the storm. It gets louder but still you can't see it - but it feels so close! Finally it rounds the corner in view and your thoughts are confirmed. It's the sound only an enthusiast could love - that all too familiar brap-brap-brap of a well tuned bridge port rotary.

To some its like nails down a blackboard, but if you're reading this, theres a fair chance a ported rotary is more than just a aural annoyance - it's music to your ears. It's also the noise most non-rotary owners hate, because you'd better be in a damn quick car not to have a feeling of inferiority when a bridge or peripheral port pulls in behind at the lights.
