Review - 2000 Season
So Derek, the 2000 season has now finished, how do you feel?
"It has been a hard season. This season I have seen more racing from the centre green than I have sitting behind the wheel of the Stock Rod!..but that's racing, hope next season will be better."
What were your high points of this season?
"The high points of this season have been racing at Knockhill. It was good to race somewhere other than Cowdenbeath."
And the low points?
"The low points of this season must have been the amount of damage and the amount of time the racing takes up, which a lot of people don't see."
How do you feel about not winning any races this season?
"It's not all about winning, just taking part is good enough. If I can finish in the points then that to me is winning."
Any Regrets?
"Not spending anough time and money on the racing this year as I have done in the past couple of seasons but with losing all my tools and van at the end of last year I have had a costly time having to replace things."
What are your plans for next season?
"Not sure yet, possibly a new car or I might just refine the current one...or maybe just take up pigeon racing instead!!"
