Preview - Season 2001
So, Derek, what are your plans regarding the car this season?
"Not a lot hopefully! Keep it straight for a while and try to gain as many points and finish as many races as possible. I might invest in a new engine if I think the car needs it."
What are your aims for this season?
"To do a complete season and score as many points as I can to get me up the grades."
Do you think not winning any races last season will make you more determined this season?
"With starting at the front it's easier to get a good start and if I can build up a lead and hold onto it then winning could happen. However the conditions and the car have to be right."
Would you like to travel this season and if so to which tracks?
"Well, hopefully all being well. I will go to Hednesford again this year for the Nationals as it is usually a good weekend away. I might also try a few other tracks if I ave the time."
