"Hot August Nights"
Reno, Nevada
As we were restoring our Impala, we set a goal for August 1990 to go to "Hot August Nights." The last few months, our son, Mike, and his friends worked at a fast pace to reach our goal. We went to Reno, and had a great time. We stopped in Boonville to put our top down. What a thrill it was to see the hundreds of beautiful Classic Cars.

We continued our annual trip to "Hot August Nights" for the next four years. We were impressed with the organization of all aspects of the event, and the work of the volunteers. It finally became very difficult to get hotel reservations for "Hot August Nights," so we stopped going and found other car events to enjoy. This is a picture of our grandaughter, Taylor, before the parade started.

Following our experience at "Hot August Nights" in 1990, we continued to return for the next four years. It became difficult to make hotel reservations, so we stopped going. We found many other events that were enjoyable. We like to drive to the events we attend. The public seems to enjoy seeing, and waving, as we drive the highways.
