First Car Show of 2000

Getting Ready For The Show

Keeping our Impala in show quality condition is a job that never ends. It needs tobr detailed before leaving for a show. Arriving at the show destination means cleaning it again to remove any dust from the freeway. Glass is shined, along with chrome, and the tires shined. Inthis picture Mike is installing the new chrome for the dash. It really sparkles now! We are always looking for ways to find perfection.

At this car show we were in a large class of "Stock" cars, two of which were Corvettes. One was a red convertible. We never like to see a Corvette in our class. Some shows put the Corvettes in the "Sport" class, which is where I think they should be. This was our first car show of the season so we had a lot of work to do. When we were finished, we thought our "Incredible Impala" looked great!

The Corvettes were given Second and Third. Our Impala was honored with "First Place!" We, of course, were thrilled!
