Coaching and Training

It's an art form : Learn the art of riding and racing motorcycles from acknowledged experts

Road Race Training Schools - track & theoretical : Will be run by MNZ Coaching Director Nick Reader with experienced road race tutors before some events, & others by Peter Robb of the Training Club

Costs : The Training Club fees - $30 per day, Membership Fees - Casual - $25, Full $50, Business $400. Plus Track fees - Taupo $30, Pukekohe $50, Manfeild $60. MNZ employs a full time coaching director to coordinate top quality training events ranging from road rider training through to high performance motocross training. On Saturday May 2nd the BEARS Club will be having a road race day at the circuit, but they have kindly agreed for anyone who wants theoretical training to meet Peter Robb & Nick Reader (Coaching Director of Motorcycling NZ) at the Taupo Circuit Clubrooms for theory work from 1pm, and all being well the BEARS will have finished racing by 4pm, when an hour of practical track riding will be available. Cost of this is $30 per person. Of course next day, Sunday May 3, there will be Novice Training sessions as the first practice with experienced riders showing the lines, followed by a theoretical session at midday. This is all part of the Suzuki Central Winter Road Race Series.

July 25, Manfeild : the day before Round 4 : The Training Club by Peter Robb.

Sept 12-13, Pukekohe : The Training Club by Peter Robb.

Sept 26, Manfeild : Motorcycling NZ Level 2. The day before the final round of the Series. More training or practice days on the day before (Saturdays) will hopefully be arranged to coincide with the series as it progresses.
