Carpati Then it started to rain heavily and after some hours we've ridden in the wet, we took place in a motel to dry our clothes. The romanian motels are often simple but clean and cheap. We've paid 10$ for two rooms with four beds, an absolute fair trade. In the evening we took diner down in the motels restaurant. Buying food or going out to eat in a restaurant is no longer a problem. Fruit and vegetables best buy from the farmers, all other things could be bought on the local trade. Only fresh meat could be a problem sometime.

Like everywhere, the TV set was running and the local weather forecast reported another three days of rain in the mountains so we decided to go to the Black Sea on the direct way. The romanian language is easy to understand and learn. The Roman occupation of Romania in the second and third century left their language there and so romanian is very similar to italian language. A lot of romanian also speak french, some german and a few english.
