GalatiHotel We reached Galati totaly wet and pissed off with only a few romanian Lei left and no idea were to camp. After a stop in a redicusly dirty cafe we asked some people for help. Overwhelmed by the friendlieness of the rumanians even the sun decided to come out a little. Two romaninan fellows escorted us to a Exchange Office and than to a riverside campground.

As far as I know it is not forbidden to change money on the street, but it is not very useful - we always got a better exchange rate at official exchange offices.

But the Campground, which is locaded directly aside the landing point of the Ferry to Tulces at the Donau bank, was booked out. While we were discussing the further things to do, we heard a low noise whissle of fleeding air. A nail stuck in the rear tyre of the ZXR and the air pressure went down rapitly. There's no centerstand at the ZXR which makes it impossible to remove the rear wheel the easy way, and more worse there was no garage which could remove the tubeless tyre witout doing any damage on the alloy rim - so we let the things as they were.

We dropped wet into the next reachable Hotel, which was the InterTourist Hotel of Galati. We've paid 45$ per night and an extra 6$ charge for a guarded parking space. Our room was in the 9th stair with awful beds and rust coming out the waterline instead of water.
