Brasov (Kronstadt) was founded in the 17th century and was the most important city of Transilvania. There are lots of historic stuff to see, even the famous Dracula castle (Grenzburg of Bran) is close by. Some of the most beautiful roads of the Carpats are around Brasov. To me Brasov is the most lovely city in Romania with its mixture of young People, old architecture and the mountains. If I could choose were to live and work - Brasov would be my first choice.

Our main interest in Brasov was to get the ZXR's brake fixed. In the town center, a little left uphill of the University is a small newsletter kiosk. This is the meeting point of the local motorbike gang, they meet every Friday evening and as they told us foreign bikers are always welcome. A simular place will be found in Sibiu.We went there and asked for help. They guided us to the house of the president of the Easy Rider Motorbike Club who promised to fix the brake pads using automobile brakes within two days.
