The next day we arrived in Sanok and stood there for a few days visiting friends. Sanok is a small city with an beautiful historic center and the famous Beksinskiego Museum. To me the paintings of Beksinskiego were very impressing, I thought he was on an permanent LSD trip but our polish guide neglected that sharply.

We went out to see the museums, Russian Icons and historic carpatian Farmhouses - enjoyed different kind of watersports at the big Lake close by - walked the mountains and of course practised a little streetracing up and down the serpentines. North from Sanok lies the city Zamoc (former Heinrich Himmler Stadt - the Nazis had a sophisticated sense of humor) which was build in the 17th century. Planned by an italian architect in the sense of upcoming humanism the cities goal was to bring different people peaceful together. A little north lies Lublin, nowadays famous home of three Universities. In former times Lublin was the "Jewishtown", because it was only allowed to jewish people to settle there. After the occupation the german Nazis found that practical and build Majdanek KZ close by.
