Leaving Zakopane we followed the narrow and winding road along the Canyon of the river Dunajec passing Nowy Sacz. A lot of people were camping and picnicking at the stony riverside, some of them we saw swimming and rafting. The water tide wasn't very high that time, it looks like a good opportunity for rafting and canoeing if there's more water in.

We took our night camp at the river Wislok near the Village Wisloczek close to a small Lake. The Lake provides drinking water for the region and there was no possibility to go close to it's edge. The water of the river which is coming down from the Carpats and feeding the Lake was clear and clean, we drunk it. Most water of the small rivers in the Mountains are clean to drink after boiling it, also there are many springs which water we drank without boiling. Although water was never a real problem on our journey it is helpful always carrying an amount of water, enough for cooking and drinking. We found out that a storage of three liter per person is good for all needs.
