Welcome To My Web Site. My Name Is Melissa Forrest an I have created this site dedicated to my Grandfather Jack.

The basis of this site came to me in 1995 when I was in year 8.  We had to do an assignment for history on any Australian who had been involved in any Australian War. It was preferable that we did the assignment on someone who was still alive so we could interview them, but I really wanted to do the assignment on my grandfather as I remembered story’s he told me of the war. Anyway my teacher allowed me to do it on my grandfather and with the help of my uncle (Jon Andrews) I put my assignment together and thus I have now decided to turn it into a website dedicated to my grandfather.

My Hope for this Website is to keep my grandfather's memory alive and to tell the story of an Ordinary Australian in the second world war.
