The main sites for getting the PoV-Ray package are
www.povray.org if you want to download via HTTP and
ftp.povray.org for downloads via FTP.

At ftp.povray.org you'll find a lot more then the plain executables. There are also a lot of images and animations, utilities, help files, source code files and much, much more.

To reduce the net usage and increase the download speed there are some mirror sites all over the world  which carry the whole or a part of the contents of the original site.
