The Laser Show

radd.gif (4573 Byte)

I've got the idea to make a laser show with PoV-Ray in July 1997. It was when a new cinema was opened in my town. They perform a laser show before every film. When I saw such a show the first time I was so impressed that I couldn't resist to try it with PoV-Ray. The next month I tried  to find the best way to make a laser ray with Pov and to find a suitable music. Since October 1997 I'm working on the animation and now in January 1998 it is ready for publishing.

Here are some technical datas:

Development Time: 3 month
Final rendering time: 1 week
(with breaks during the night,
on a Pentium MMX 200Mhz)
Antialias: Yes
Frame size: 320 x 240
Frame rate: 25 fps and 12 fps
Number of frames: 5420 with 25 fps
2601 with 12 fps
Duration: 3 min 37 sec
Animation type: MS Video for Windows AVI
(Cinepak codec)
Music: "Attempt To Break"
by
estrayk / capsule
(found on Aminet as attempt.lha)
Tools used: PoV-Ray for Win95 3.02
Paint Shop Pro 4.12
Adobe Premiere LE 4.2
Mod4Win 2.30
MS Video for Windows 1.1
File size: 40 MB with 25 fps
27 MB with 12 fps

Because of the file size there's no possibility to download the files from here. My last ressource was closed because I'm no longer a student.
Can anybody provide me some disk space to store the files ???

The files are
laser1.zip (23MB, 25fps)
laser2.zip (17MB, 12fps)
