Okay, so here goes. . .I was
born on a cold November day in 1974, same year we
elected Mr. Richard Nixon to the White House (part
of the reason I feel it is fitting for me to be
getting married under the "Son-Of-a" Bush
Administration). I was born,
grew
up, and finally left
Aberdeen, South Dakota after graduation
from high school. I
chose to continue my education at the prestigious
Moorhead State University in beautiful downtown
Moorhead, Minnesota. Moving to the big city was a
great time. There were so many people and so many
things to do. After enjoying college for a couple
of years, I decided upon a career changing event, I
chose to switch my major from Art, which
Iknew I couldn't find work in, to
Anthropology, which I figured I couldn't find work
in. My
parents were VERY
excited, there was potential to have an
archaeologist in the family and everyone knows what
that means. . .okay, maybe it doesn't mean
anything, but anyways. I graduated in May, and
started work within a week in Pennsylvania.
The
cats and I traveled 1000
miles for work and haven't left since. . .well,
okay we did but we're back now. Anyhow, that's my
story. Oh, how did we meet? Well. . .that's a long
story, buy me a beer sometime and maybe I'll tell
you. . .or maybe you'll have to believe whatever
she tells you. . .

I came
into this world on a
cold afternoon in Rochester, MN, born to my parents
Dan and Marial. They already had three kids, Phil,
Katie, and Don. They all were ecstatic to see that
I had red
hair, the
only
one in my generation to
have it. But little did they know what came along
with it! We
moved to Iowa when I was
only 6
months old, and during
our short few years there, my little sisters Ellen
and Caroline were born. In
the summer of 1984, we
moved to Indiana,
where I went to school at St. Pius X for
K-8,
and Lawrence North for high
school. From my many
years in Indy, I made a few really good friends
that I still have today (J'nai and Brian), and also
got a goo-od
ole' Indiana accent
(which I can't seem to shed sometimes!). When I
moved back to Minnesota, I was naive in thinking it
couldn't snow THAT much. My
first winter there, we
had 8 blizzards, and over 100 inches of snow. In
the middle of winter (February to be exact), I met
Steven. Well, actually, I saw him in January at the
library, and by asking his friend who had taken my
new ID picture, he weaseled his way into finding
out my name and email address. It was my birthday
before he got up the guts to write me, and several
weeks later, he convinced me to go on a date to the
Meltdown concert at MSU. After that, I was hooked.
He may have a different story, and this one is
leaving out the details to his courtship (a very
impressive one at that, he made me a fabulous
dinner on the first date!), but that's the jist of
how we met. After that, it didn't take much
convincing for the second, third, and so on dates.
