When we think about a PC, we usually picture the IBM-PC and its many clones. However, did you know there were over forty types of personal computers before the IBM-PC existed? Today, only a handful of them survive. These systems, and newer ones, are physical proof that PC clones running Windows are not the only way to do personal computing.

Objectives

The whole purpose of this web site is to inform the lector about the existence of alternate systems that are not Wintel (Windows/Intel) machines. If you are a consumer searching for a new system, this web site presents to you a variety of options. In general, no matter what your level of experience is, this site is about the spirit of competition and the importance about having variety.
