The Mac (alias for Macintosh) is the most successful of the survivors and occupies second place as the most popular personal computer. It is the classic example of a proprietary system and Apple does not permit clones. Many consider the Mac a superior than the PC and for years a war has existed between Mac and PC clone users about this issue.
