JHE - Projects I have been, am or would like to be working on

My super computer
It's not really a 'super computer' by definition of a supercomputer.
I bought a new full tower case & started cutting it up. I have been making modifications to it and am still working on it whenever I get the chance (and whenever I feel like it). It will be taking a Pentium mumboard and a Apple Macintosh LC475 mumboard.
There will be enough room at the front, for not 5 bays, like originally, but a whopping 13.5!! Most of these already have there 'tenants' 'signed-up'. So in a way, I won't have much room left over!
I removed the original pissy little 250 Watt power supply, & have moved the space for it to right up the top of the case. I intend to use a 300 Watt PSU with built-in UPS. The battery pack for the UPS goes into a 5.25" bay. I will probably make up some 'modular' battery packs to fill up unused bays. The battery packs will be used for the UPS. The batteries (all, in total) can also be used to run an inverter I plan to install somewhere inside the case. This will allow me to run a monitor, or whatever (nearly) other mains-operated device I want to FROM THE COMPUTER if the is a 240V power shortage. The main device would be a monitor.
One interesting modification (and great talking point) is the addition of an 8" floppy disk drive. I mounted it vertically on the top left of the case. It was a real FLUKE that the metal sheet I got bent for it, lined up perfectly with the metal behind it!! If it had been a bit bigger or smaller, I'd have had a problem! I even have room below it for another FDD, mounted vertically! I've heard of 9.25" drives, but no proof as yet. I've also heard of 12" FDDs, but I don't think I'd have room for 3 LARGE drives!! :(

World's smallest telephone
I think I started this back in 1995. It was an attempt to break the current world record for the worlds smallest telephone (of the type you hold in your hand, and plug into a telephone wall socket). I never completed it. But I got to the point of having designed the main PCB, and got most of the components ready. But I didn't actually make the PCBs, and the record was beaten not long after that anyway... :( So I'll have to start again, and make it HEAPS smaller.
The record is currently about 17mm x 50mm x 13mm. I'm gonna have a hard time beating that! For some reason, Guinness Publishing, who make the Guinness Book of Records, don't seem to think it's important anymore, because I can't seem to find it listed anymore! Some pictures to come later.
