The Apostolic House of Prayer Theme
The Apostolic House of Prayer Church's theme is "The Spirit of Excellence". Although man faces struggles, challenges, and difficult situations daily, it is important to understand that a truly excellent spirit is not derived from human effort. The Spirit of Excellence comes when we surrender ourselves to the will of God. When we allow the Spirit of God to dwell in us, we will receive the very nature of Him, The Spirit of Excellence. At The Apostolic House of Prayer, we believe that, although we live in a world that lets us down constantly, when God puts His Spirit, an Excellent Spirit, into action He exceeds beyond our limitations. He exceeds beyond our wildest imagination. He uses our stumbling blocks and obstacles as mere stepping stones to help elevate us to a more excellent nature. A nature enriched by "The Spirit of Excellence"

Since the foundation of the Church, many have asked the age-old question "How can I be saved?" At The Apostolic House of Prayer, we believe that salvation is much more than a confession of the Lord Jesus; in fact, it is a relationship with Him. Ephesians 2:8-9 states "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not by works, lest any man should boast." This means that salvation is free from God. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ make this free gift available. Jesus told Nicodemus that "Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). The first example of this was on the day of Pentecost noted in the second chapter of Acts. After Peter's sermon, the crowd was so touched they asked "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" We see how that their faith required a response from them. Peter then proclaimed "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Believing will always demand action and obedience. Therefore, to receive salvation one must have faith in Jesus and in the sufficiency of His sacrifice.

The vision of The Apostolic House of Prayer is to "build a dynamic, multi-cultural church through discipleship in accordance with the Apostles' doctrine." With that in mind, the Apostolic House of Prayer family creates an atmosphere that ministers to everyone. The spirit you will encounter here is one where all races are welcome and can feel free to worship God. The second tenet of our vision is discipleship. We want to build a church not by enticing people with our wonderful programs but by discipling them to Christ. Discipleship involves teaching the life of Christ and the principles laid down by Him in order to be His followers. This vision is what we feel God wants to accomplish through us to aid in building His Kingdom. Our vision is to create an environment where one can grow to full maturity in Christ. The Success of The Apostolic House of Prayer ministry demonstrates the impact the vision has, not only affecting the visionaries, but all who come in contact.

Excellence in Restoration
|
Since man disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, God has wanted to restore or bring us back to our former place and position with Him. As Jesus embarked on His ministry, He recognized the condition of the people to whom He was to minister, poor, brokenhearted, captives, blind and bruised. (Luke 4:18) Here at The Apostolic House of Prayer, we strive to bring about a wholeness in our trichotomy (body-soul-spirit). There is a generation of hurting people who are trying to fake their way through life, but inside they are dying. Some have been raped, had abortions, suffered molestation, battled with homosexuality and lesbianism, suffered child abuse, paranoia, manic depression, eating disorders and multiple personalities. Our vision here at The Apostolic House of Prayer is to minister healing to this generation - through counseling - facing the past - trusting - loving forgiving and growing beyond the hurt. Don't feel discouraged if you fall into any of these categories, God has brought you to The Apostolic House of Prayer to be healed

At The Apostolic House of Prayer, we believe that all spirit filled believers are members of the Body of Christ. God has a divine purpose for each of our lives. Our focus is to cause you to see what God's preferable future is for your life. A life with direction is a life with purpose. It is our goal to direct everyone with the knowledge of the gifts of the Spirit set forth in the Holy Scriptures, and to enable him or her to discover, develop, and demonstrate at least one spiritual gift in a fruitful ministry. With weekly bible study, nightly prayer services, fasting, Sunday school, Care Cell groups, and auxiliaries, you will find out where you fit in the body ministry. Each calling is significant, whether it is in the serving or speaking capacity. God has equipped each of us with a unique personality for the building of his Kingdom. Combining this with identifying one's gifts and sensing the passion for the ministry God has placed in our hearts, God will enable us to fulfill His purpose for our lives.

The Apostolic House of Prayer is committed to giving God what He wants. God gets His greatest pleasure when man worships Him. Worshiping God means to give an adoring reverence, praise and honor to Him whose excellence of character commands such respect. God is actively seeking worshipers. Jesus states in John 4:23-24 that "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth." God is looking for a response of worship out of us. You will find such an expression at The Apostolic House of Prayer. We begin our services with praise and worship lead by our Praise Team. Don't be alarmed when saints sing, clap, and dance as an expression of worship to the Almighty God. We want God to be touched with our sincerity and passion, So, please join us as we magnify His name.
